That seems to be the popular opinion. That initial 5,000 selling out so fast has me worried though. I know a lot of people probably cancelled their order when SF upped this to 10 but I've thought I would have more time on limited editions in the past and I've been dead wrong before.

I don't see this selling out for a while, especially with the way the numbers were increased from 5,000-10,000. I went ahead and canceled mine and will just pick up the bare bones release. That's good enough for me. I still have a much of other SF titles to pick up, so saves me some money.

Amazon.ca have it for $60. So it's the 55USD.

The regular release is $25 on .com. I'm sure you'd say the theatrical if ever released stand alone would be $19.99. So, the 3rd blu, the extras disc, worth $10? I'd say so.
You'd have the definitive release. Who cares how many thousand. Fact is it's limited edition, so it will be gone at some point.
If you're a fan, a collector and agree with that price break down, just get it ordered. You'll not have to concern yourself about missing out.

I'm sure it'll be a good gamble to get the LE nonetheless.

More like licensing the theatrical from Warner, the best extra features look to be already included with the cheaper edition.

I think it's a combination of that and covering the restoration costs since iirc Warner refused to help and Scream was on their own.

It's now about 6 wks from release. With some places that ship a couple of weeks early, I guess they'll have the stock within a month. So can we expect any disc review soon? How close do reviewers normally get discs to release?

I just cancelled my LE of nightbreed... I just can not justify paying that much money for 1 film.

I am going to order the standard release and use the other money for other films i have been wanting...

It's two films. The two versions are meant to be completely different. Almost 40 minutes of difference and a different ending.
