I know, it's going to be really difficult. We actually have a bunch of friends who will be coming in and out all day and night to wish us well in our quest. lol Oh, and there will be booze, of course. I need to be plenty sloshed by the time those Rob Zombie movies hit my PS3. lol

It really felt more like, "Hey, no one has done this yet, so I am going to make this quick so I can be the first person to do it and have the views for doing it. YAY FOR ME!!" He clearly did not want to do it because he wanted to do it.

I had the same thought! I was like "dang, dude, that set isn't cheap, and you're tossing it around like a UPS worker". LOL

EDIT: 500! LOL

its crazy how ripped off we are when it comes to this sorta stuff. its why when i see americans complain that they paid 20 dollars for a new release movie, i'm often like "damn, over here thats a deal". lol
I feel your pain! I rarely order from Canada, typically because of high shipping rates. I never understood why/how I can order something from the UK or Asia and pay a fraction of the shipping costs that I pay for Canada when I'm not that far from Canada!? Anyone know the answer to that?

I order from the UK a LOT and quite frequently get the UK sets of a tv show for a fraction of the US cost even though its shipping from around the world..... kinda crazy if you ask me.

I always think that most Unboxing Vids etc the people doing them manhandle them to death lol It is just funny. I am way too careful with my blus and box sets.

also the guy who did this VID needs to redo it and change his camera angle that was hard to watch lol

Heh, I'd recommend aiming for tipsy by III, squiffy by 5, blind-drunkenness by Resurrection, then slowly recover your lucidity during RZH1 in preparation for RZH2.

I tried marathoning the Halloween films years ago in celebration of receiving the Criterion laser disc. There were fewer films, but I couldn't make it through 5 without nodding off.

Rick, you should try chatting with a rep online and see if that works. Tell them how others are getting this deal. You might get lucky. If that doesn't work, call them at 866-216-1072. That's what finally worked for me and I want you to get this deal.

Good luck buddy!

If there are any others like me who are content just to have the first two or three movies in the series, then Movie Stop is selling the Scream Factory Blu-rays of Halloween II and Halloween III for $17.99 this week on a sale rack with a bunch of other horror movies.

I picked up Halloween II, because I've been wanting to see it again lately, and because I like how it wraps up the Michael Myers story as far as I'm concerned.

Yep... I tried that, didn't work. She put me on hold for a few minutes and came back and said "That price on the CN website is in Canadian dollars, not US dollars, so I can't match it". I explained to her that yes, it's stated in Canadian dollars but when you do the exchange rate the US price is even lower than what's stated on the CN website. She didn't care.... (and honestly barely understood what I was saying anyway).

No worries...I'm happy with the current Canadian price. Should the US price drop even lower before release I'll just re-order it. I just can't wait to get it in my hands!!

Oh no, you're back again.

First last year, you tell us that we are like old pizza stains by ordering the Friday the 13th set. Telling us that we don't need Friday on Blu because it's like old pizza.

I see you have arrived for the fall yet again, my friend.

And no, I am not content with having Halloween 2 or 3 over 4 -- for a good reason: Part 4 is the first one I ever saw.

Plus I'm dying to get my grubby hands on that Producer's Cut.

Do yourself a favor. Stop pumping Criterion, go back to 1988 when you were a teen and actually had fun in your life, and maybe you'll be happier.

You have been pulling this pomposity on horror franchises too much.

Here: Buy the set. Maybe you'll get something out of it.

To be fair to The Owl, there's a very strong case to be made that the Halloween films went to shit pretty quickly.

Hey, I like them all right (even the obviously terrible ones), but I don't kid myself.

Enjoy the $85 you won't be spending on this, Owl.

What what say what? I don't recall telling anyone that they are like pizza stains.

I'm not telling anybody that they don't need something on Blu-ray. I'm just throwing the sale information out there for anyone who is interested in having the stand-alone sets of II and III. I've seen all of the films in the Halloween franchise before, as well as the Friday the 13th franchise, so I know what I need, but the mileage varies for others.

The guy who did the video's name is Brad Miska. I'm guessing it's the same Brad Miska aka Mr. Disgusting that runs Bloody Disgusting, so I doubt he paid for the set.

I consider Halloween, Halloween II and H20 the best films in the series. I've actually did a "Laurie Strode" trilogy a few Halloween's back. H20 is actually a better wrap up of the Michael Myers story for me because that movie actually gives Laurie something to do. And the moment where Laurie and the Shape are face to face for the first time after 20 years is iconic. A great piece of cinematic history.

Halloween 4 is also pretty good. The other films in the series are guilty pleasures for me, except Resurrection which is just a complete write off.
