Well, plus taxes. The 5% probably negated the tax amount.

Agreed. Exactly how it looked in the theater both times I saw it. No need to discuss it further.

I loved this movie at the theater, but I'm going to wait until I see a cheaper copy at my local used movie store. I'm pretty sure that I'll see one in the next few weeks. Maybe even this week.

My Target price matched the Amazon price, so I got mine for $20.

i found the Target exclusive but was bummed it's only on the 2D version... i'd rather have the 3D than an extra feature... so i haven't purchased this yet. any word yet on how effective the 3D is?

What extra feature did the 3D have that the 2D exclusive didn't? Also I stopped by at Target after work today and only had the standard 2D no more exclusives left. A lady behind the customer service counter said they only had 4 in the store this morning. I'm sure they were gone within minutes. But they had 3D's being put out as I was leaving. I'm going to try another Target on Thursday and see if they have any left or got some more in.

Got my MetalPak today from Amazon....arrived in excellent shape with a couple cd's in a box. It's a gorgeous release, I'm pleased and the movie looks just fine in my home theater. The wife sat and watched and had a blast with the movie.

I'll just grab the 3D disc itself on eBay later.
Good thing about the 3D set is, it only has three discs. I put both blu-rays on their separate hubs, and placed the DVD on top of the regular blu disc.

Don't care if the DVD get's scratched. However, you have to really bang your case around, to get them to scratch. Your only worry should be during shipping.

You can also place the DVD disc, in a DVD paper sleeve.

Really disappointed in not getting my copy from amazon today! Been tracking the package all day and it said "out for delivery" by 8pm today. At 8pm the status changed to "in transit" with original delivery date of today! This better get delivered tomorrow!

I rarely say anything negative about blu-rays on this site. I did watch my copy and it did seem pretty dark to me. Darker than I remember, having seen it on opening weekend. Did my theater project it poorly? Maybe.

I know the sound was an issue at my theater. After several people notified management, they turned the sound up. No biggie.

I still said it was a great looking movie and people should buy it.

Some people just voice their opinion, based on THEIR observation. I'd hardly call it "complaining".

I received mine from Amazon at around 1pm. Unusual because UPS usually delivers much later than that. I received Avalanche & Meteor around 2pm, but that was delivered by USPS.

This film is proof that the end of the world is nigh... my wife, who absolutely loathes all things Godzilla, saw the theatrical trailer, turned to me, and said that she wanted to see it in the theater (something we rarely do). She loved it, and so did I.

Concerning the 1998 film, I have seen so many refer to it as 'Zilla.' I think this is being too kind, as it is not a Godzilla movie to begin with (I prefer the moniker 'GINO'). I like the film, but as a "giant mutated irradiated iguana attacks New York" movie, that gives an entertaining ride taken on those merits alone. In stark contrast, this film is the real mccoy (IMO, or course)...

I actually loved the effects, cinematography and score in the 1998 version. The issue for me was, I hated every single human character in that movie, I also hated that it was done for laughs.

The fact that you felt sorry for Godzilla and were angry at how they killed him, was the last straw.

In this new movie, Godzilla is an accidental hero to humans, but I found myself feeling bad for the MUTOs!! If they had been daring and had the MUTOs eating people (ala Gyaos from the Gamera movies), or doing ANYTHING remotely evil, Zilla slaughtering them at the end would've had more zing.

As it was, the MUTOs were no more destructive, than Big G was.

Those are my exact thoughts on every single movie Rolland Emmerich has ever made. You know something's wrong when Universal Soldier has the best characters out of all his films.

Did anyone elses copy not include the Digital Copy, even though it's advertised to have one? Opened mine up, but there was no piece of paper with the code.

Is there a number or e-mail I can contact Warner Bros. Canada about it?

Zilla is what the official name for the '98 Creature is called.

For those that haven't seen it yet (and if you haven't, you must be living under a rock ) Here's the Honest Trailer for the 1998 Godzilla
