The wife broke up my screening midstream, I will try to get some from later in the film at another time.

They look better than anything I've ever seen. Period. Cinematically speaking, of course.

I average about two movies a year in a theater, but I just don't like it much. I don't have any digital theaters close to me so I see a lot of problems with the movie print. What really drives me crazy is the visual flicker I see. It's like the movie is strobing all the way through. Mostly, I just watch and try to determine how much better it'll look once I have it on Blu-ray in my home theater. The picture quality, sound and atmosphere are all much better in my home theater than in a public movie theater.

I'm really quite pleased with my home theater . . . It's actually pretty cheap as home theaters go. The cost of the projector and screen was about $3500. I think the Epson Home Cinema 1080UB projector is excellent at it's price point. The high power screen is a good match for that projector.

Even though the screenshots looks good, the ACTUAL image on the screen is better than those. I'd say the screenshots reflect about 80-90% accuracy. With the screenshots the shadow detail is a little shallow and the whites tended to bloom. The colors are a tad off as well. So, the actual image is better in person.

If I ever get the chance to have my own theater system, I will buy that exact setup for myself. Those screen shots are mind blowing and now you tell me that in person looks even better........DAMN!!!!!

if I had your setup, I would just charge $5(popcorn and drinks included) for family and friends......hey! it's better than $10...right?

As much as my son has his friends over watching Blu-ray movies (among other things), I'd get rich charging $5 each time.

I'd pay $5 to get in to see Rambo in your theatre. Speaking of which, can you post some screens from Rambo if you get a chance?

I really got to get to Mt. Hood, OR to see the hotel in the Shining, and to get back on my snowboard.

Thanks Ric!

Splendid job there with the Rambo screens. The excellence of your theatre and screen contributions are legendary. They cannot be topped IMO.

Thank you. I'm still tweaking a few things, but I hope people enjoy the screenshot thread and find it helpful.
