I tried this on my PS3, and it worked on it, too. I have the PS3 bluetooth remote, and when the "wrong region" notice popped up, I hit the "top menu" button, and it took me to the menu. I was able to play everything without issue except for the film's theatrical trailer.

So for those of you who are wondering if this will play in at least some Region A players, including the PS3, it will.

Played Inferno on my Samsung regionA 3D bluray player as advised going to tools then title then going to title 1 Thanks alot We need more vintage 3D movies. such as Hondo, Kiss Me Kate, Miss Sadie Thompson an the enjoyable Charge at Feather River. As a devoted film buff we should see films as they were intended.

So...it appears that the Panamint release of Inferno is not as region locked as once thought.

Thanks and credit goes to 8traxrule for posting this finding and bringing it to my and other memebers attention.

I tried your method first using Samsung 3D bluray player on 2D VIZIO TV and had same results using Disc Menu not Title (nothing appeared) Menu. But when I tried on Samsung 3D TV the Title Menu it would play 2D but not 3D.

Then tried Dave's post going to Tools-Title selecting 1 of 200 and worked perfectly. Thanks to both of you

When I read that it played in 2D and not 3D for you at first, I went and tested mine on my Sony 3D TV. Sure enough, the 3D would not play....just the 2D. So...like you....I tried Dave's method. When it showed that it could not play this movie because it is from another region, I went to title search and typed 1 and hit play. Played in 3D right there. Just had to check out a little taste of the 3D in this. Saw the first 3 scenes.....WOW!!!! 3D looked GREAT!!! Can't wait to check this out in its entirety on the Epson!!!

So....a gratitude of Thanks goes to Dave and you as well, Mark!!

Just watched this last night. WOW!! The depth, dimension, and detail..from the opening scene alone...I knew I was in a treat for the eyes. Just a terrific and marvelous 3D presentation. The colors were vibrant and the image quality just popped. Good amount of foreground placement as well.

Just a wonderfully restored and top notch HD release of a 61 year old classic.

I'm not one for ordering films just because of good 3D,I still want to be watching a good film,Sammy's Adventure, great as the 3D may be just isn't my cup of tea but I thought I would give this a go at that discounted price,£11.49 delivered is worth a shot,if I don't like it I'm sure I could get most of that back if I did indeed decide to sell it.

Soo...does this mean midnight Saturday crossing into Sunday (Oct 5th), or midnight Sunday (Oct. 5th) crossing into Monday? Midnight according to what time zone? And do we get the region-free edition or the locked region-B? I know there's a Panasonic trick but I'd still like the region-free disc because I may not always own a Panasonic years from now.

It still sounds confusing I think - so I guess they're not shipping the region-free version yet?

Their website states "Region free edition coming soon" so I guess not.
