Just got my order from Amazon of The Burning and Assault On Precinct 13. Both had slips and The Burning included the sticker. Just a little heads up if anyones interested.

Figures that my membership (with free shipping) ends on 11/3 and this will be released on 11/11. I ordered it anyway, maybe I can persuade them to send it without the shipping charge.

Well, I just ordered UHF, Dolls, and The Doctor and the Devils for $32 shipped. Not too bad of a deal if it holds. Have to wait until November 11th for everything too ship but that's ok.

Couldn't bring myself to order Dolls from B&N since, despite saving about 8 bucks, I wouldn't get the poster. Still, I managed to get several items much more cheaply that *didn't* have posters.

I'll still get a copy of UHF for myself from Shout (again, poster junkie), but it was nice to be able to grab a cheap copy from B&N as a gift. UHF is a friend of mine's favorite movie, so now he'll be getting that for Christmas!

Did you see the price for the ltd edition of Nightbreed? Wow. Almost worth it, except for the B&N versions not being signed & numbered.

BTW, has anyone figured out the fake item schtick over on Shout? I really wanna pre-order a couple of things (mainly UHF and Lord of Illusions), but don't want to place the order until I can take advantage of this illusory promo/discount. Were the fake mystery items really removed early, or are they just hidden too well?

Unless I missed an update, that promotion is over for this week. A few items went up at the promotions start, but it was a limited time/limited number of uses deal. Scream Factory stated on facebook that the Promotion would be returning next week, but for now it is currently not going on.

Well, I'm just a customer going off of what I see on the website. Load the site, see a big advert saying, "New Website Kickoff Sale!" Follow the link for details, and it tells you all about the hidden items to search for. The only mention of an expiration date is:

"We're kicking off a brand new website design, so to celebrate we put together a game plan for fun promotions and savings now through October 3rd! From discounts to contests, there's really only one way to describe this sale: it's good!"

It did mention how one could go to social media sites to get clues as to the fake product locations, so biting my lip (I loathe social media sites) I nosed around, but saw no clues whatsoever, just brief mentions of the sale.

I'm just imagining all the people like me who only use the website, spending hours searching "deep" for the fake products, not knowing they're not there to find. That's really frustrating.

(And I've just gotta say this once. Woof! The new website is awful. Impossible to visually browse products anymore, you've gotta pretty much know what you're looking for. Those thumbnails that only show a still from a given video as opposed to product covers are especially unhelpful. Not user-friendly at all. Oh well, just had to vent over that.)

Just saw pre-ordered The Doctor and the Devils. Can't beat a Scream Factory title for $8.99.

Don't know much about the movie but seems interesting and I thought that was an awesome deal.

Scream's SLEEPAWAY CAMP Blu Ray is AWESOME!!!! GREAT transfer and GREAT bonus features! On the downside, RAVENOUS doesn't look very good. I was really surprised at the low quality of that release.

If you like Weird Al at all, you will dig it.

I'm hoping it does well for them; I recall Cliff stating that comedies usually don't do that great on Blu-Ray. If this one does well, maybe we could see some others like The Sure Thing come out (or The Last American Virgin for those whom aren't region free, since I've already got Arrow's version).

whats up with amazon? i had to cancel both halloween and dr and the devils, and re-preorder both, to secure the lower rate. my preorder price just wasnt going down by itself. :-/ anyone else notice if their preorder prices did or did not go down to the new lower rates when they posted?

That's been a problem for a while. I keep all my ordered items on my Amazon wishlist which I check daily. Whenever I notice a price change, I check my order. I would say that 80% of the time it does not reflect the new price. I immediately e-mail them with my order # and tell them to fix it. They always do within about 12 hours or so.

I do not trust their price guarantee system.

My order automatically adjusted however it can take a few days for Amazon to update all orders depending on how many people ordered the release. Regardless, even if your order ships at the higher price Amazon will automatically refund the difference, after the release day, based on their preorder price guarantee.

yeah, i thought about harassing them, but it's easier to just cancel, and re-order it. i watched it for a couple days, and nothing. weird.
