Can anyone tell me if Regan's Theme plays on the main menu? On the dvd it plays.
Are the trailer and teaser in HD?
Yep the music plays over the menu.

No shipping confirmation for me yet. Amazon still says my order is guaranteed to be delivered by 8pm tomorrow. They have lied before. Which begs the question, why do they use the word "guaranteed" when it isn't really guaranteed? Typically, when a company breaks a guarantee promise, they offer you some sort of compensation.

I've always gotten my movies on street date with Prime.... not early mind you, but on time.

As far as compensation, if something comes late and you ***** about it via e-mail, they will most likely give you a $5.00 off next purchase or something like it...

I just thought of this. In order for this to be a true anthology, they should have included Repossessed starring Linda Blair and Leslie Nielsen.

This was my 1,000th post. Woo-hoo!

that is completely true.

to me this is one of my favorite movies of all time next to JAWS. that alone means i'll buy it.

i only read a review to see what the video quality is like. i don't know if most reviewer's have properly calibrated sets so even then i'll have to judge it for myself

Its almost every other studio as well besides Sony not giving a darn about their back catalog. Universal being the worst offenders of DNR/EE because of using old, dated, DVD Era masters.
some companies don't put much work into the first blu ray release so when they upgrade it in a couple years fans will buy it again. totally sucks

I just re-watched Heretic for the first time in eleven years. This is clearly one of the most misjudged sequels ever made. The first film had an especially strong focus on a supernatural event being presented in incredibly realistic terms throughout. Also with themes most people can relate to (such as sick child/loss of faith/dying mother). Heretic decides to take a bizarre science-fiction/fantasy approach which seems at total odds with the original film - I'm not surprised that 1977 audiences were unimpressed. The film jumps the shark as soon as the synchroniser appears. It's amazing that Warner Bros pumped so much money into it. I have to say that Burton actually gives a rather stoic performance but it in no way helps to save the film. Dreadful sequel - makes Exorcist III look like a masterpiece.

Yeah, I was specifically asking about the Canadian arm of amazon..amazon.ca, I'm sure .com buyers will get their sets in a timely fashion..I suspect us canucks will get the short end of the stick on this with respect to timing..I'm sure the only thing I gained by ordering through them is saving a few bucks and non bilingual packaging..both of which I would have forgone in order to gt my movies sooner..

Is it right that The Exorcist part I is the Extended Dir. Cut only ? and Disc 6 has Bonus only.

In Warner's case they do very few remasters, so this might be the best it ever looks.

In this shot here, you can see the digitized grain in the blue light. That looks very poor and will look even worse on larger screens. A lot of this could also just be baked into the older master I suppose too.

Yeah, that doesn't look very good at all. These masters could be from the first DVD box set release from like almost a decade ago. Ridiculous!!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for Legion. Ditto with Ninth Configuration. One thing about the Legion film's ending always bothered me.
[Show spoiler]That Kinderman unloads his gun into an unarmed mental patient and yet is then later seen as a free man standing over the grave of Karras. Surely he would have been arrested for murder?
