Yeah, it confuses me, too. Bay put that franchise completely in the toilet without the slightest attempt at an apology. I saw the first one, but after that, I decided "no more; he's trashed it enough". The effects were good, and I liked hearing Peter Cullen as Optimus, but everything else was one ridiculous mashup after another.

Only because there's tons of idiots out there, who don't value a solid story any more than Bay does. I really wanted to like the new "Ninja Turtles" movie, but he sent that to the crapper as well...even without directing it. If I ever meet Michael Bay, there's one question I'd like to ask him...

"Did you have to work hard to screw up previously established franchises, or does it just come naturally to you?"
