One negative I have to say... they are cheaping-out sometimes with the CGI.

There was a couple at the beginning of this most recent episode... and the girl basically had the exact same face as Katana.

Something looks very wrong with Batman's jaw line and lips. I'm really surprised the model for the main character is so shoddy.

Yeah... overall I've been pleased with the stories so far... but some of the flaws in the CGI really jump out and smack you sometimes.

It could just be me... but I don't think this show looks as polished as the CGI Green Lantern series did.

So the big test for Katana comes to an end...

It definitely has more serialized storytelling than I expected. Everything in it seems to be heavily patterned after the Star Wars: Attack of the Clones cartoon.

I don't mind the addition of Katana to the team, though adjusting to Alfred's new role is jarring. They are definitely going after an older age group than Marvel/Disney's cartoons.

Well then they shouldn't have cancelled Young Justice and Green Lantern. Hey by the way, I really haven't seen any Beware the Batman toys in the store yet. Are there any?

That's a good question, one I don't know the answer to.

There hasn't been a toyline for this show, but Batman appeared in one of the latest 6" lines, I believe it was called "Batman Unlimited" and featured different versions of Batman.

**As I was typing this I decided to search for a pic and found this one on ebay:

As far as I know there are no plans to do a toyline for this show (at this time anyway).

I've been enjoying this so far... one of the few DC shows I record and watch on air as opposed to DVD/Blu-ray.

Yeah, each show is better and better. Their best show currently on. Not a fan of Teen Titans show.

I can't wait for this show to return to CN... and I refuse to buy any DVDs of it, it looked and sounded great in HD and I'm sure it would be even better on Blu-ray. I really wish WB would get on the ball and release its shows produced in HD on BD.

There was word of a January return for this, but here we are with no information regarding future eps. I have a feeling this is done.

Also, there's a tie-in comic from DC that isn't mentioned in their April solicitations (what would be issue #7).

The weird thing is I was just reading about a Blu-ray release for this... so that's weird... if they canceled it AND released it on Blu-ray.

I thought it was odd that it was being indicated that season 1 was done especially since there were only 10 episodes. Apparently a rep. for CN indicated it was no longer on the network.

This snip is from back in October when that weekend's episode was mysteriously pulled from the air. As far as I know, this is the only official word from CN:
"Currently, ‘Beware the Batman’ is no longer on our air. DC Nation will continue on Saturday mornings at 10/9c with new exclusive shorts and a full hour of encore episodes of ‘Teen Titans Go!’”

Anthony Ruivivar followed with this tweet:
Hey! I heard today that Beware was pulled from CN and that this week the new episode wont air? new in January. Sorry

The next day he gave this update:
2our amazing fans of BewareTheBatman cartoonnetwork is currently not airing new episodes. Stay tuned and thanks for your continued support

So who knows what the hell is going on. HDMe, good find on the blu-ray release, I didn't realize that was coming so soon. I guess that's encouraging news. Assuming a full season has been produced I hope we at least get the episodes on a second blu release should they never see airtime. I'm certainly not holding my hopes up, though.

Exclamation Beware the Scheduling Burnoff!

For those like me still watching this show in the early hours Sunday mornings on Cartoon Network...

Beware!

Looks like they decided to burn off the remaining episodes this weekend. I almost missed it... but from 2:30am to 6:00am EDT they look to be airing the remaining 7 episodes (Ep 20-26) all in a row.

As crappy as they have been with the rescheduling of this show, I did not expect them to pull a surprise marathon like this.

Hope everyone that wants to see the final episodes sees this post and finds them!
