I thought of another couple that are cheesy, but fun:

1) Jaws, the final scene on the boat
2) Any of the "Living Dead" or "Zombie" movies
3) The gas station in Maximum Overdrive
4) Halloween with Jamie Lee Curtis
5) King Kong - I rooted for him

The Wild Bunch.

And of course, The Matrix. Original movie, not one of the sequels.

1. True Grit - John Wayne in a climactic showdown against a trio including both Robert Duvall and Dennis Hopper.

2. Face/Off - John Travolta (as Nicolas Cage) and Nicolas Cage (as John Travolta) in one of the best ending action sequences ever in a John Woo movie: the lengthy boat chase scene!

3. Batman Begins - The last stand between Batman (Christian Bale) and
[Show spoiler]Ra's Al Ghul (Liam Neeson)
!

4. Patriot Games - The ending battle between Harrison Ford and Sean Bean.

5. In the Line of Fire - Clint Eastwood and John Malkovich mano-a-mano inside an elevator!

That was such bs, there is no way that regular Marines could outperform or outsmart real SEALs. Watch the special feature Navy SEALs on the Range. For me they would have to include the Last Samurai. But I can't really think of four others that haven't already been said.

I was always under the impression that they were Marines Special Forces, not just regular Marines. After all, General Hummel was running Black Ops Missions.

Honestly, it doesn't matter. Check into SEALs. They are the most well-oiled of any SOF in the world, bar none. That may be my opinion, but it is generally accepted by and militarily intelligent people that they undergo the most gruesome training in the world. Force Recon is cool, but they're usually the first ones on the scene almost as if they're expendable, the U.S. govt is highly invested in SEALs. The only movie out there that comes close to portraying what SEALs really do is Tears of the Sun, out on Blu, get it. Granted, they're priority in training isn't killing, and they're probably not the best at it, but what they are the best at is gathering intel, say for instance, where Marine defectors are planted on Alcatraz island.

As far as performance goes, seal unit was surrounded from elevated point and there was nowhere to hide, no matter what training, seal or not you're dead unless you can dodge/stop multiple machinegun fire like Neo in Matrix.

As for the outsmarting, it's highly personal IMHO. Being a seal and training in
there won't make U smarter. It's just that, training, motor skills, reaction time, maybe improved memory, experience.

So, in that situation SEALs superior training was negated by position they got into. Enemy was well covered, higher and they were in the open, surrounded and so on.

And no matter how good of a training you get you can always trip an alarm.

Are you seriously posting this? Have you ever been in the Marine Corps or Navy SEALS? Have you even enlisted into any military service? Well if you had then you should already know that the Marine Corps' 'basic' training is anything but basic. I have been through that first hand and during my of my extra-curricular activites with them, I went to where they train SEALS and don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to bash them here, but your assumptions are incorrect. Real/regular Marines are just as smart if not just as good as your 'legendary' SEALS that you've built up in your mind.
