It's a PD title and Warner released it on DVD years ago which was the best release of the movie on DVD. Maybe Scream asked to use there print/transfer since it's a PD title?

I am beginning to think Warner will license singular titles for a limited release or non limited box sets. This leaves hope for a Wes Craven Collection (Cursed, Vamp in Brooklyn, Deadly Friend, Shocker, Serpent, Last House) or a Hammer Dracula set (they did say at least four Hammer films would be released next year and SF does have ties to Millennium, maybe another Halloween type deal).

Come to think of it, that would work. Warner has Horror, Risen from the Grave, Taste the Blood, and AD 1972. Scream has access to Prince of Darkness, Scars, Satanic Rites, Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires, and maybe Brides of Dracula.

Maybe it is a box set in conjunction with Scream Factory... Until next June or so, anything is speculation.

Day one purchase if they do!

WB needs to make good on these as they themselves were suggesting that Hammer films (specifically Horror Of Dracula and Curse of Frankenstein) were in the works for release........................................... ......back in 2009

It could be, but its going to be from Warner themselves. There was a press release and a post - the thread is somewhere , probably several pages back. But some Hammer horror titles are coming, thats the word going around

I would love a Hammer box set. I have been slowly collecting them on DVD but blu-rays would make stop immediately.

I want to know why Scream hasn't bothered to do Night of the Living Dead ('68)? I mean it needs a good blu-ray transfer and it has that region-free one that came out a while back. The movie is public domain so I don't know what's stopping them.

Its with the Weinsteins (I think) and they want too much for it as far I can recall - but Film Detective is releasing it

First of all Warner license Nightbreed to them and now there is a Warner logo on the disc for House on Haunted Hill in the new Vincent Price Collection, could this be a good sign for future titles ?

I would actually like to see Needful Things get a Collector's Edition instead of just a single release. If they could get their hands on both the theatrical cut and the extended 3 hour cut, that would be great. Do you think Scream Factory would put out Collector's Editions of Child's Play 2 and 3 when the Chucky Collection is already out? I know those two were both bare-bones releases in the set, but I would imagine that collection would hurt Scream Factory's sales if they were to release those. A Phantasm collection would be amazing, though. I'd also love to see them get their hands on Dawn of the Dead and release a blu-ray equivalent to the Ultimate Edition DVD set that was released years ago.

I wonder if Scream Factory can acquire Charles Band's Parasite. It would be awesome to see it in 3-D again. It's not a great movie, but it was kinda fun in 3-D. I know Anchor Bay released the widescreen DVD a few years back.

Hour of the Wolf? That would probably be the most surprising announcement in their history. Horror fans don't have patience for that!

I bet Kino are going to get a bunch of those old MGM Midnite Movies, they already announced At the Earth's Core for example. Land/People that Time Forgot seems like a logical next step.

Very slim chance of more Universal stuff, unless they've had something already in the works for a while.

Don May Jr. mentioned on Facebook that he was told Universal was no longer licensing stuff out to other companies.

Hence, Firestarter and The People Under the Stairs being released by Universal themselves recently.

Yeah, you're right, those would probably be more Kino's style.

If that is true, they really better get on making a deal with Sony then!
