Pretty crappy Saturday of football tomorrow, as evidenced by the fact that Gameday is in Columbia for a matchup between South Carolina, who had to rally in the 4th quarter to beat Vanderbilt last week, and Missouri, who lost at home to Indiana. There are no matchups between two top 25 teams. Next week will be much better with Alabama-Ole Miss, Texas A&M-Mississippi State, Oklahoma-TCU, Stanford-Notre Dame, LSU-Auburn, Arizona State-USC, and Nebraska-Michigan State.

Speaking of Cincinnati they had a freshman RB die in a motorcycle accident yesterday. Oddly enough this is the second Cincinnati player to die in an auto accident in as many years.

University of Cincinnati redshirt freshman running back Chamoda Kennedy-Palmore was killed Thursday afternoon in a motorcycle accident. According to police, another vehicle turned across two lanes of traffic in front of Kennedy-Palmore, failing to yield the right of way, and was struck by his motorcycle. He was wearing a helmet.

Kennedy-Palmore's Twitter profile picture features him on a motorcycle and many of his tweets are about motorcycles, including his last one:

Kennedy-Palmore is the second University of Cincinnati football player to die in a motor vehicle accident in as many years. Almost exactly a year ago today, offensive lineman Ben Flick died when the car he was in crashed off the roadway.

Counting down the hours to the 'Canes game tonight. Big game for us. In the meantime, I'm enjoying Penn State losing. I hope Northwestern can hang on, they are looking a big shaky right now.

Sloppy game but our D came to play and will be able to keep us in any game we play this season. I think we take care of South Carolina next week as long as the offense plays better than today. We could be 5-1 in a couple of weeks with several more winnable games on our schedule. I think we have a strong shot at getting to 8 wins on the season as long as we keep improving and we stay healthy.

Now that I think about it, damn, we are 3-1 after going 2-10 last season. Plus we are a stop on 4 and 7 in that Florida game from being 4-0 for the season and being on top of the SEC East.
