Oh my God, Redrunner97.

I just found this thread. They have Rogue up north!? Why the Hell didn't I know this before? I thought I'd never be able to upgrade my DVD. I freakin' love this movie. Between it and 1980's Alligator, I've got all the giant reptile movies I need!*

*Well, except Godzilla...

Excellent post

Black Christmas, Slither, Martyrs, [REC]2, Devil's Rock, Black Sheep, TCM:TB unrated are all worth importing.

The UK Black Sheep is region free (despite the cover saying B) and has the extras from the US dvd (although they are in PAL, so you have to be region free to watch em, but you have the commentary). I have it and it's great PQ, not sure how the Canadian stacks up.

Go for Slither, it's 1080i but looks 1080p to me.

Surprised you guys haven't done Ginger Snaps. What's with that? It's your biggest Canadian horror film.

It was their when the thread was started but it's no longer exclusive to Canada. It's coming out from Scream Factory in 2014.

Plus Ginger Snaps isn't on Canadian blu-ray, and probably wouldn't be considering the North American rights are with Scream Factory. That would include Canada. Assuming that's the way their deal works, which I have no reason to assume it's not.

I'm just saying, your Canadian distributors missed the boat on their flagship independent film. It's like a British distributor ignoring Trainspotting or something. They should be kicking themselves for allowing Scream Factory to get their hands on it. I know Canada is part of North America, but still.

If I was Canadian, I would be kicking myself that a local distributor did not snap this up. It's an amazing film, is it not? I would have thought you guys country would have shown it the respect it deserves. Plus it's unlikely to be region locked in Canada whereas due to laziness, nobody but Canadians ands Americans can get their hands on the region locked Scream Factory version. It's frustrating.

Awesome list. Only have the Canadian BD for The Butterfly Effect (plan on losing that the US bd has both versions and features) and The Faculty.
Where else beside Amazon.ca can I get theses BD's??
Also is the double feature of Halloween/Halloween II the theatrical cut or directors cut.

1) Chill, specs for the Scream Factory release haven't been announced. Some of their blu-rays aren't Region Locked, so Ginger Snaps might not be either.

2) Its not because of Laziness, it cost extra to Region Lock, actually. The company that owns the rights often FORCES or requests them to lock the films.

3) Canada likely couldn't have released it anyway, because in North America there's typically one distributor for both countries, and there are few to no labels that are from Canada and release in America too, whereas Shout Factory releases in both countries.

3) Its unlikely that Canada wouldn't region lock it, either. That's illogical.

Man, I hope you're right. Because I don't think it's fair that I would have to miss out on this owning this film all because some company feels compelled to lock us out. It's not cool, mate, it's not cool.

I just hope you are right and that they don't region lock this film AND that they do a wonderful transfer and don't DNR the thing like they did with They Live and a few others. I want a nice lovely transfer with strong colours and the grain intact. Lots of detail too. I WANT THIS FILM BADLY

Entertainment One imports Shout titles from the US, so that we have them (thus why there is no French on packaging). So technically its not Shout releasing their own titles here.
