Default Sales

I hope i dont get locked for this but i wanted to ask this to anybody who might know. the xbox has sold about 10 million, i have read it also has a 61% failure rate (i know it seems insanely high so im guessing its around half that) now when a console breaks, does the replacement console count as a console being sold?

so if 10 people buy it and 3 of these consoles break, do the sales actually turn to 13 consoles sold? or are they not recognized? i know they will count for units shipped but do sales also count?

And does anybody have any knowledge of the failure %? microsoft have said its around 3-5% but i cant seem to find any sites to ratify this, and they havent stated a difinitive % either.

Yes i hate that console, there is probably a lot of bias in this post, i ask that you consider this and compensate for it also.

as long as this thread isn't based on BS...you shouldn't have to worry about anything...this isn't AVSforums...

but umm...I don't know the failure rate...I just know it was enough for me to dump my 360....not to mention some people were getting the rings of death on the elite...even right out of the box....

and the fact that anyone got the rings of death on an elite system....at all at this stage of it's life is very bad IMO...let alone right out of the box...

LOL, if M$ seem to be counting replacement consoles for the ones that ringed out, then i think we can declare them this console generation winners .

Maybe that was their intention in the 1st place, make themselves out to be selling more than they have. We all know mis-information and FUD are M$s strong point as well as Backstabbing, Dirty corporate payouts, just your usual the governments not to be trusted type stuff then.

I`d say the xbox`s % is pretty darn close to your calculations! I bought an elite and it pooped out the next day! thats when i returned it and sold my 360 library and bought a ps3.

I started buying more blu-rays after watching casino royale which i got for signing up to the PSN, funny what a free movie can lead to. I now have about 9 movies and 6 games.

Pretty good for a average 17 year old.

I don't like being called young, even though I am. I have the mentality of a 40 year old, and I type like i'm semi-literate.
