Excellent!! Thanks for the info. I've really been wanting to test those out but assumed it would match me with people and I didn't want to try it without knowing what I'm doing (i.e. didn't want to hurt the team).

Yeah it sucks. I got my Wizard up to 20 the other day and haven't even finished half of Venus. At least I can just blow through the levels to clear them. One thing I didn't like is that even if you up the difficulty on the level the reward at the end of the level doesn't change. So you will still get a level 8 weapon even though you were playing at a level 12.

I have played through the daily the past couple of days by myself. There seem to be people in my game but it seems like they aren't even trying to complete the objective. That is why I just plan on completing it by myself once I get started. That is also why I won't run the weekly unless someone is actually in my fireteam.

HOLY COW the Iron Banner is a blast. Had 3 consecutive games like this:



You can really tell the armor/damage makes a difference now.

I could be IB Level 3 by tomorrow at this rate, already L1.5.

Wow that's very good! After we played yesterday I went ahead and played more Crucible (6 vs. 6). It's safe to say that I've improved playing on Crucible. Also just hit Level 1 as well. I'll have to check out that Iron Banner this evening as I'm starting to like Crucible more and more.

As far as being stuck at 27. It might be a few weeks until I get to Level 28

By far the worst problem was getting blown up by suicide harpys when coming back through the portal. Literally as your still phasing through and the screen is all screwy 1 or all of us coming through would get instantly blown up. So lame.

There is so much going on, so much chaos, that I have no clue how people will be able to do this via matchmaking without communication. VOG was a blast up until the final boss, who because of the exploding harpys, quickly became no fun at all.

On the plus side, I did end up getting a legendary raid gear chest piece, so I didn't come out of there empty handed

Atheon is going to be tough with any level 26 members in your fireteam. Clearing that fight with four players at 27 or below would be quite the feat.

The three guys who don't get teleported have to be on harpy duty. The teleported crew should let them know which area they're ported to and the guys outside should focus on 1) keeping that gate open and 2) clearing that side of harpies. Good luck! I'm sure you'll get it next time.

18 shards. You need to do Public Events + Nightfall + Strikes all at L28. No more doing the Weekly Heroic or Daily Story at anything below 28.

Iron Banner goes on for a week, right? I won't get back home until late tonight so it's unlikely I'll be playing. But I'll be on again tomorrow morning and afternoon.

I'll do more Public events then. That 100 Vanguard Marks cap doesn't help as well as buying armor that's 60+ marks. Seems if I go that route I can only upgrade my Legendary at least once a week.

Ideally you'd be a high level, because ublike Crucible, weapon damage and armours aren't equalised. If you're a level 8, expect to be toasted by level 20+.

Anybody got anything good from Iron Banner as rewards? Beta made it out as if each thing was minimum a legendary.

I have not played it since the beta, but your levels will matter a great deal as your weapons and armor too. Unlike Control and other PvP, your level advantages and weapon specks will carry over and have just as much damage or defense.

Blue engrams can turn into shards. Purple engrams can turn into shards. Completing L24 Strike Playlists can do so too.

It's just all modes, all maps, 6v6. If you win, you get Iron Banner rep. None if you lose. Haven't seen any Iron Banner related prizes handed out yet, in the games I've played.

No, but Level differences matter. Unless you're around 23-24+, you're basically walking into a slaughterhouse, because now weapon attack + armor defense ratings matter to your damage output and survival.

I starting farming public events with my 3 characters for shards lol did 3 events (1 with each character) this morning under 45 minutes. No shard drops but each post package did deliver ascendants so ended up with 3 shards for 45 minutes worth of farming.
