I think a lot of this comes down to screen size. People with small screens just can't see the difference between DVD and BD , unless they are looking at reference quality material. That's why there's so many "where's the beef posts". You know, "somethings wrong with my setup because BD is supposed to look better than this" post or "why do they waste BD on this old grainy stuff". Don't expect movies to ever look like DiscoveryHD material. It's just not the intent of movies to look like a HD nature show or an animated Pixar movie.
