I assume the 17K number everyone is citing for Ice Breaker is for a fully upgraded one? What's the base damage?

Oh, and should I continue to gather a second Raid party here, or move it to the Blu Clan forum?

My friend and I can do 7pm EST tonight, but would rather do it on Saturday afternoon as the window is much larger as our day is free. We've both joined the Clan.

Thanks. I'm 3 coins short for the Ice Breaker. Hopefully I can beat the weekly, then pick it up.

What are the other reliable ways to get strange coins?

As for Vanguard, I need to remember to change my Titan Mark when not in Crucible so I can earn Vanguard (as I'm still Level 1).

Needing to do the weekly a bunch more to get enough strange coins to buy some gear from Xur. How long does he stick around?

He's usually there through Sunday afternoon.

I think each weekly only pays out once per week.

Just do Daily (once a day) and hope you get Ascendant Shards.

I was going to ask if Ice Breaker was really that much of a must buy as I was holding out for Last Word (or maybe Time and Patience) - but that pretty much answers my question.

Still not done a Raid but I think I'd struggle being only at Level 25.

Theres a damage inflicted penalty for each level you are below an opponent.

I.e., if you're 28 and youre opponent 28, then say you do a set 100 damage.

At level 27, you'd do around 70 to the same opponent. At 26, around 60. At 25, around 50. At 24 you wouldn't even make him giggle.

I believe the same works inversely for damage received too. And vice versa for when you're higher leveled than an opponent, but only at a maximum of 3 levels. So you'll never be immune to mobs.

The whole attack/impact/armor/defense/light algorithms still don't make 100% sense to me anyway.
