It says 3 discs on amazon and its the same cover i posted with 3D blu ray, 2D blu ray, DVD listed at the top.

So this will likely not have a 2D release which really doesnt bother me because i am gonna get the 3D release anyway

Cool cover art. I would hope it does better on home video. The 3D was really solid most of the way.

The 3d was awesome although it had the most ghosting of any theatrical 3d movie I've ever seen. Still, the 3d layering and depth coupled with the stylistic visuals makes this one of my most anticipated 3d blu-ray releases of 2014, a close second to Guardians of the Galaxy. It will be interesting to find out how the home release fares with ghosting/crosstalk compared to the theatrical presentation.

Walmart is giving the first movie for free if you buy the 3D combo pack from them.

Jay,

You're right, this does have a lot of ghosting even if sitting at the right angle, mostly due to the limited 3D glasses we have not being able to make each opposing eye completely blacked out.

Some light still shows through and with strong 3D and a high contrast movie like Sin City 2, ghosting is inevitable, but honestly, welcome, as I rather have strong 3D with ghosting than mild 3D with none (Tron Legacy being a good example).

That is nice the walmart is giving away the Sin City 1 for free with this one.

Free shipping to boot (with the pre-order only, I suspect); "value" shipping is the default, but "standard" is also available free (faster). Defaults to Value, so one must override that to get the faster service.

A convenient and affordable way to finally upgrade the old DVD. The standard def looks great upscaled, but not great enough! Something about the high contrast, stark stylization of this one calls out for full HD.
