Blu-ray help?

hello everyone. i'm new to the forums and had a question that i hope someone could help me with. i have my PS3 connected to a sony bravia model KDL-46V2500 with an HDMI cable. Games look awesome on it (i also have a xbox360 connected with component cables with also looks awesome) but when i watch a blu ray movie i have an issue. while in some instances the image quality is great there are some scenes (particularly in dark scenes) when the edge of the screen seems lighter that the rest of the image. this has only been a issue with movies because as i have said, games look fine. its kinda distracting. also sometimes the image seems to shake ever so slightly. not alot but if i look for it, on some movies i can find it. does anyone know whats causing these issues? is the HDMI cable bad, the PS3 not working properly, or is it an issue with the TV itself? any response would be greatly appreciated. thanks for your time.
