Ewan McGregor is my choice. I really like his acting and would love to see what he would do with a role like this. I think he is very talented and has quite a range. I could see him playing Doctor Strange very easily. I am not a fan of most of the other names mentioned for the role. And some of them are turn-offs for me in the role.

Marvel has Met With Ryan Gosling for Doctor Strange

A number of names emerged yesterday, but we now have another courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter. According to the site, "the 33-year-old actor has met with Marvel Studios to discuss starring in the title role in Doctor Strange." He's also said to be fielding an offer to star in The Secret Life of Houdini: The Making of America's First Superhero, so the ball is very much in his court as to which role he ends up taking (if any).

Gosling is very much in demand as Warner Bros. are courting him to play one of the members of the Suicide Squad in David Ayer's 2016 adaptation. The site also mentions that Jared Leto and Justin Theroux are actively chasing the role, while both Ethan Hawke and Keanu Reeves' names are now in the mix. The actor is notoriously picky and he may end up refusing roles in all of these, especially when it comes to committing to sequels.

I like Gosling, but I don't think he's right for Strange. I like the idea of Gyllenhaal in the role.

What's wrong with this guy, he's a fantastic actor, so I've heard... not that I agree with any of the casting decisions for Fox's FF movie. I suspect MBJ would be a great addition to some Marvel or DC movie in the near future. Assuming of course, MBJ is not the a**hat, db*g fool that is RG.

That comment was sarcasm toward the miscasting of a character... There's nobody I would like to see him play in the MCU.
Now, a fantastic actor would be Mr. Chadwick Boseman.

He looks like he'd be an excellent choice. I like his age/experience for the role especially. T'Challa is a character they better cast correctly, but they have several good actors I've heard mentioned to choose from.

They're both in The Place Beyond The Pines, great movie btw.
