It's been a while since I've actually seen Clive Barker. Man, he's become an old English guy...

Just read about his health issues, which would explain his voice sounding different and him sounding out of breath sometimes during the commentary.

I would have thought they'd reserve #1 for themselves; then again, as I said before, it seems no number is the new number.

You weren't first, you just got lucky during the order-fill sort. Rhyme and reason have already been eliminated as possible reasons for who got what number. People who ordered days later than others got numbers under them, no ****ing sense or pattern at all. Congrats on getting that one though!

yeah I never know what to believe in what is truth vs. tabloid in regard to Clive's health problems; but what I gather from an interview he did was that he had two operations in which polyps were removed from his throat. You can notice the gurgling of his throat/out of breathness during the commentary track on the Nightbreed disc.

but even in the intro before the Director's cut - Clive's looking quite bedraggled even for a 62 year old.

So I was thinking about throwing the DVD one the ltd arrives. BUT....the DVD has 5.1 and I'm seeing people saying the TC only has 2.0. No one has said it's bad, but surprised it's not got both

It's not uncommon for Scream Factory to list incorrect audio specs. Halloween 3 in the new box set claims that it has a DTS-HDMA 5.1 audio track, but it only has a DTS-HDMA 2.0 track, just like the individual release. The theatrical cut of Halloween 6 advertises just a Dolby Digital 5.1, but it actually has a DTS-HDMA 5.1 track. Terror Train and The Funhouse also only advertise the 2.0 tracks, but include 5.1.

But the DVD did include a 5.1 track, so I'm not sure why it wasn't included. I watched the DVD last Halloween, but I don't remember how good the 5.1 track sounded. It'll be interesting to compare it to the lossless 2.0 track in this set, which I thought sounded great. I guess if I really wanted to keep the 5.1 track for the theatrical, I could just get a 2-disc case and put the DVD and blu-ray together. But whenever I decide to watch the theatrical cut again, I'll be going for the new blu-ray over the DVD.

#1? Yep, I bet there are plenty of people that would pay a hy-uge amount for it. Personally I'd rather the very last unit than the first, but then I'm weird like that.

This was one of the first "horror" movies I ever saw as a kid, so I have a very strong nostalgia for this movie. I cannot wait for Amazon to ship my copy out. Come on October 28th!
