Oh, yes, you are correct.

I didnt find it preachy at all. It had a message to deliver and it did. I believe the message was delivered in a very even handed fashion.

I think what many americans saw was themselves being sterotyped, which doesn't happen too much in hollywood movies, its usually with other cultures. I don't mind it and kind of found it funny. I think many people intrepreted funny sterotype for preachy

I did notice that Eve was a little trigger happy lol
Her blasting at Wall•E and the cockroach seemed to scare the kids the most than anything else "dark".

Anyone else notice that when the captain walks, they play Also Sprach Zarathustra (2001 theme) and he fought an AI that looked suspiciously liked Hal, that also controlled the ship. lol

I am not sure about those lines I saw... I don't think it had anything to do with the presentation itself, but it was either a dirty lens, a dirty window (optics), or a dirty or poorly constructed screen. It looked like it was the screen to me, but it seemed to show up the most in light scenes. I was not alone, my wife pointed it out right away and my bro's fiance also noticed it.
Now they know how picky I can be about my movies... and why these little things annoy the crap out of me. But as I said, it was the second time so I didn't complain.

I hate to compare here but after watching Kung Fu Panda and then watching Wall-E, I was quickly reminded at just how superior Pixar is compared to Dreamworks animated studio! I mean, I always knew that was the case but Wall-E just put the proverbial exclamation point on it!

Dreamworks CG movies are like a cheeseburger, fries, and a coke. I enjoy it when I eat it but meals like these are cheap and often and then I quickly forget about them.

Pixar movies are like a melt in your mouth filet' mignon. The taste and the quality are vastly superior, I don't get it as often, but the flavor is much more memorable!

Oh and the animated short "Presto" is by far and away the best and funniest Pixar short to date! Infact, I thought Presto and Wall-E complemented each other extremely well! First you get the hilarious slap-stick humor. Then you get the amazing feature that is so charming, so well told, so well animated, and so unforgetable.

Pixar - "Most studios make movies to make money. We make money to make movies."

of course it will, Lifted was on the Ratatouille, so assuming since all the movies that were released have had the short with it, i believe 100% likely and it should be out by Christmas

they have ALWAYS included the shorts with the film.
What I want to know is if they are going to do the blooper thing in the credits again or not.
In the past, when they made a blooper reel, they would release the movie without it for a few weeks. Then later they would re-issue the movie to theaters WITH the bloopers and advertise it to everyone. I am not sure they are going to with this, since it does not seem like the kind of movie that needs it, although it would still be welcome to have. Plus I think it would be cool to have all the Wall•E shorts with him playing with the hulla hoop, and the fire extinguisher, etc.
I am sure we will see these on the disc, I am looking for forward to it. If they release some kind of special edition I am getting it!

I only wish they could release little Wall-E or Eve robots... I would die for one. I did hear that Disney World has made a remote controlled Wall-E that will go through the park and interact with people. They actually have done that with several other robots already (there is a talking plant, a walking dinosaur...).

Captain, there are lots of RC WALL-E's and some EVE. http://www.toysrus.com/search/index....S/2254197&sr=1

The top of the line RC WALL-E was ~200 the other day but it looks like it's gone up to 250. You can a little RC for as little as 15 though. There are a lot of videos of these toys on youtube.

Peopl can say that it wasnt preachy all they want but i certainly dont need their social commentary in my childrens movies. this was a waste of my money, but thankfully it was cheaper then buying a BD.

Childrens movies are the PERFECT place to deliver positive messages about doing the right thing. Thinking anything else is idiotic.

*************Spoiler alert********

Wall*E could be better if
1. give it a non-happy alternate ending.
2. extend the scene that wall*e lost memory and eve tried to recover it to make it more intensive, sensational.

However considering that pixar has to keep it kids friendly and not longer than 1.5 hrs, it is understandable trade-off.

So I saw this for the second time today. AMAZING! INCREDIBLE! My favorite Pixar movie. Wall-E has more personality then most human actors in movies.

Default Wall E on a digital screen!

Just saw Wall E, and the quality was amazing. The screen was digital, it said so right on the ticket. And it's the best animation I have seen yet! Anyone else seen it on a digital screen yet??? This was at empire theatres in cambridge Ontario, Canada by the way!

Well, what type of city do you live in? Big, medium, or small? Bigger cities are most likely to have digital screens.
