I have read here that older TV shows are on the back burner for the time being.

I'd like to see this too! It'll probably won't be too long. BTW, is 19 for Stevy Y?

I love Deadwood. I hear they may be in the works for a Deadwood movie. Bring it on!

Deadwood is dead.

They tore down the sets on the ranch where they were shooting...And, according to W. Earl Brown's MySpace blog, they're not shooting the two movies that was supposed to wrap up everyone's character.

Major bummer as I am a huge fan of Deadwood.

Only a couple of years old. We aren't talking Gunsmoke here.

Just sharing what the "insiders" here have stated. I believe they said it costs a lot to push out a multi-disc set, and the $return isnt as sure as with a movie.

Anything that didn't just finish broadcasting a season this year is unlikely. Also unlikely if it's not shooting another season next year. From there you have to work backwards from most popular current series to least popular series no longer in production.

Well yeah, that I'll believe. I just wasn't sure if you had briefly thought he was talking about an older series. Wasn't sure what you meant by "older". I should really just assume that anyone on what is essentially a movie forum like this, knows what is being talked about. Ha.

But, of course, there are exceptions, like Firefly.

Deadwood was incredible. One of the biggest disappointments was when they decided to not finish the series. I can't tell you how many friends of mine cancelled HBO when they gave up on Deadwood. Clearly it was one of the best TV shows ever.
