It was hard. I think a lot of the issue with stuff like this is that once someone does manage to complete something hard, they post a video of it and most people watch the video to see how it is done. The first time I did the raid, everyone else had completed it multiple times and were telling me exactly what to do and I still felt overwhelmed (and didn't completely understand what was going on). If you have a group that hasn't done it before and hasn't watched any videos on how to do it, I don't even know how they'd figure it out and complete it. It is obviously possible but it really doesn't seem like it when going through it.

I think that was my issue. Three of the four rooks I took into it had never even seen any videos, they were completely blind to the experience. They went in under the assumption that regular game tactics would work, but the Vault is completely different. Charge and shoot doesn't work, you cant afford to die, and pistols are woefully inadequate for sustained-rate-of-fire on targets. People were underequipped at L27/28 with rare primaries/heavy weapons. The frustrating thing was that, after dozens of attempts and explaining what happens and how to do it/avoid it, the same mistakes kept being made.

Venus, by the City. Where a few fallen + a Servitor spawn every 10 seconds at the end of the City area right before the Shattered Coast.

It works best with 2-3 people doing it, but I really cleaned up.

We'll find a replacement if we're Raiding. I could get your son to tag along since you keep bragging he's a badass and that he can solo missions on Level 28 easily.

If you bought a 2nd PS4 and took it with you to the hotel when you travel for work, you'll probably experience some major lag you think?

First time I tried was the day the raid was released. It was a group of 4 randoms I met in the tower, levels 24-28. We of course did not get the door open. We did not even know what to do, until we noticed a spire start to form. Figuring it out was hard. Second time was a few days later. I was level 26. A full fireteam with mics, but no one had done it, and only one or two videos were available. We never finished beating Atheon, and that was over the course of a few evenings. The second time still took four evenings. Now the same group without noobs does it in 1-2 hours without resorting to cheese, and usually doing some goofing around and trying different things or running alt characters. It was genuinely hard at the beginning. Now the hardest part is getting a good team together.

Alex told me last night that he's done with Destiny until the next DLC comes out, though he would still be up for raiding if needed. He's into Shadow of Mordor now. And I said level 26 strikes, not 28!

Inside the building? Anywhere in particular you should be standing or just kill , move a bit, and then go back?

That's a great point. My original statement was a bit shortsighted. The three times I did it I was in a group that had done it numerous times but I remember the first time thinking "how in the **** did anybody figure this out?" So my issue then becomes that they had to know in this day and age that the process would get out there. It was inevitable. Because of that there's other ways to make it difficult without making it like an old Myst style game where the process is so obtuse. That's old game design that will never hold up well once the "secret is out" so to speak. I really hope the next one is a legitimate challenge that stays hard once it's "figured out" and not a retread of what has been done already.

Ya Relic duty is scary at first but once you get the hang of it its actually not too bad. Many people just need to get over that fear. Think as long as the team has 3-4 people that can do Relic it shouldn't be that bad.

What ive seen is warlocks die so they don't get teleported then revive themselves after to take care of the portals and harpies.

That's plain silly. As a warlock or any other character class, I would rather be teleported than have to deal with exploding harpies anyday. Warlock goes into left portal with Atheon's Epilogue to kill oracles. Don't touch the hobgoblins, because then they seize up and other guys can't kill them quick. Warlock goes into right portal, chucks sticky grenade at minotaur, then shoots oracles. Never even bother looking at the adds. Three times through, four max.

The way the raid is set up now the hardest thing for new players to do, and it's all in their heads, is to stay away from the back of the freaking room so they don't get teleported. If they "fix" that to make it random, it won't matter.

My biggest problem with getting teleported is that while I am shooting at Oracles, I lose site of the Relic holder and don't get cleansed.

I ran that area for 30 min last night while leveling up my scout rifle. I ended up with 7 blues of various type but no legendaries

The relic holder should be able to find you. It's like clockwork. One guy only worries about oracles. Does not move ahead too quickly, until adds are dead. I've never seen a group of people there.

Tried the Nightfall with two people, it's a slaughter. The final Wizard Wave in the "opening the door" phase...sheesh. Also, figures its Arc. I have no Legendary Arc Heavy, I have to go with either Plan C or Thunderlord as my main Arc, and Plan C is much more reliable.

Where did u do that at?
