I hate Amazon... like I really am tired of them. I ordered on:

and have yet to receive even a shipping notice all because I don't want to pay for Prime. Seems ridiculous to me that people that already have the slowest shipping are processed last. I don't mind having to wait a short bit for an order to arrive, but when people with Prime have already received their orders and mine is still processing and not even in transit it just makes no sense. I'm glad I pretty much never order through Amazon anymore. Their choke hold on the retail market isn't good for anyone. Now if only Best Buy and the other stores realized this and capitalized on Amazon's lazy practices/attitudes regarding sales and average prices.

If you didn't pay anything for shipping you should not expect anything but slowness. And this isn't a new thing with Amazon. They always wait to ship out free shipping orders. The adage "You get what you pay for" really does apply here. Those customers that pay for shipping, whether per item or with Prime, will and should get preferential treatment.

I ordered the LE directors cut set from Amazon on Aug 1st and i dont have prime and i chose release day shipping, which is pretty much two day shipping and it shipped this morning to be here tomorrow. Im quite sure they dont blow off orders for not choosing Prime. You can even try Prime out before subscribing, i did and when the free trial was up i continued ordering through regular Amazon with never having a single issue and ive had many, many orders since then.

I hope so too. The LE is listed as a #1 best seller in the Canadian Cinema, Canada and David Cronenberg categories, and #21 in overall movie sales!

Somehow Amazon made sure that FedEx wasn't going to deliver the LE to me today even though it arrived in my city as early as 3am this morning =/

Hopefully it won't be beat up and I'll have a nice looking copy to put on my shelves

From Diabolik I ordered the Scorpion titles within 5 minutes of listing and even managed to get the preorder for Nightbreed in that first day they listed it before the site crashed, but still no shipping confirmation/update.
