Oh man I hope not. I've only seen posts here and on Facebook for people in the 4000-5000 range. Well at least I got an order in

It doesn't matter if someone got #9700 or #3006, these are being sent out randomly by distributors so all 10,000 are already being made available to different venues. One may get lower numbers, one the higher numbers. Who knows, it may be close to be selling out completely, or it may not. The numbers people are getting mean nothing in that regard, though.

There's usually very little rhyme or reason with Amazon. I tend to get Bubble Mailers 80% or even 90% of the time, but then occasionally I'll buy a single Blu and it'll come in a cardboard box (or 'DVD Mailer', I believe they're called? Those sort of cardboard pouches/envelopes).

S'why I went the gift way here; it wasn't worth the risk.

So glad to finally have the LE set. I can't wait to watch the directors cut tomorrow. I really like how sturdy the slip box is. Got number 3,543. Nothing special about that number.

I went to the screening of the Nightbreed Director's Cut last night at the Crest Westwood Theater in Los Angeles. Clive and a few cast members including Anne Bobby were in attendance and held a Q & A afterwards. The screening was amazing seeing it on the big screen. This version fills I'm many plot holes the theatrical version had and I will leave it at that to prevent spoilers.

This was the first time Clive had seen this version since it was completed and was in tears. He stated this reignited the fire to make films in him. He said he had given up on movies because studios always kill the artists ideas. He hated having anything to do with the film. He said if he does another movie he doesn't want it to waste a year and a half of his life and not be the product he intends. He mentioned Nightbreed possibly coming back as a TV series. Nothing definite yet. The occupy Midian group that was started by Anne Bobby was talked about and how it had a big impact on getting this project jump started. He left after 15 minutes of the Q & A. Clive definitely did not seem the picture of health.

Mark Miller and Andrew Furtado who restored were also there and talked about the process. They originally only had the vhs tapes of the Cabal Cut. Shout/Scream Factory helped track down the only remaining 35 mm masters that were in various pieces. They had no audio and all of that was restored and reproduced from the vhs tapes.

Anne Bobby was great as Lori but at the Q & A she tried to dominate the discussion and seemed very fake. She tried to 1up the others every time they shared something it seemed.

It was also brought up that Nightbreed and Hellraiser have been licensed by the same studio and it is possible to see a crossover blending the worlds like the old Jihad comics.

The venue was amazing and the show was supported by the Century Guild and it's staff. I apologize if any of this stuff I included in this post was in the special features. I did not receive my Director's Cut Limited Edition set until after the show. It was 1/300 unnumbered editions Clive received from Scream Factory. I also received a poster for the screening signed by Clive and another velvet poster. Really cool stuff. I will post a picture later. I am in Hollywood until Saturday so I am completely mobile so hopefully this is edited properly. I will do my best to check back and answer questions if someone has any. Unfortunately I will not be able to check out my set completely until this weekend.

I'm sure this has been answered before, but is the serial number on the blu ray case or the slip box? I toss all my slipcovers but will keep them if the packaging kind of required it (like Jurassic Park Trilogy otherwise it's just a bare fold out or Hitchcock/Citizen Kane that also house booklets)

Did anyone else order this from Barnes and Noble? They had the cheapest price I could find for the LE, but the projected ship date was the 28th, and no shipping has taken place as of yet. I'm worried something went wrong and I won't get my set.

62.99 but if your reserved it, 55.99. I wouldn't waste a trip. The guy told me explicitly the only ones any store received were reserves only and they would not be getting any more in. There were about 6 copies including mine that were sitting on the desk.

Just watched the theatrical cut with my fiancee. Only seen it once and that was 4 years ago. What a damn good movie. I love the practical effects and makeup and the stunt work is really impressive, especially during the Boone/Decker confrontation. Looked damn good and the DTS 2.0 track was handled extremely well. I'm really glad I dropped the ball and just went all out on the limited edition. I would like to think everyone that has is pretty satisfied with it. My fiancee had no interest but afterwards she was really looking forward to the Director's Cut which we'll probably watch this weekend.

+1

My job (Moviestop) had inconsistent numbers; 2-3 in the high 6,900 or low 7,000; and one in the high 5,000. Makes me wonder how they packed them. "Yo, Bob! Run around the shelves at random and pull 5 for Moviestop!"
