I'm going to watch this again with the commentary track whe. I get back to New York. I'm seriously so happy with this finished product.

No that is just how free shipping works on Amazon. They never ship on Monday or the release date on Tuesday. They could but they really want you to either pay or get Amazon prime so they purposely slow down shipping. It should Ship on Friday and it will get to you by Monday. Thats how it works for everything. Mine is in that process right now.

Ok so I was a newbie, I never rented this on VHS back in the day etc. so since I was saving the Dir Cut for Thursday nite so my friend could watch it with me last nite I started with the Theatrical Cut. I figured that was best since most always have seen that version before the bootlegged Cabal cut.

This is by far one of the most late 80's very 1990 looking film I've ever seen. All in a good way though. I liked the makeup and the effects even the very short stop motion effects. I loved the use of matte shots etc. I prefer that to CGI any day. The story almost felt rushed for sure. I really thought from seeing that original poster art over the years that the film would have had more of the characters talking to each other. I was surprised that most of the time they may have had a couple lines. I wonder if in the DIR Cut you get more shots of Craig Sheffer in his briefs. I expected Clive Barker to exploit Craig a lot more.

I'd give the theatrical about 1.5 stars however had I grown up watching it I would prob rank it 3 stars for nostalgia sake. I thought the image quality and 2.0 audio was very good. I haven't watched any bonus features yet. I'll start those after I watch the Dir. Cut.

I still haven't received a despatched email from Diabolik, although they have already charged my card. I totally forgot that I had kept my pre-order with Amazon too and they have already sent a copy out to me. It'll be interesting to compare the numbered stickers.

On different note, did anyone purchase any of the official Nightbreed posters from Clive Barker's website?

No, a cancelled order cannot be reprocessed! Once an order has been cancelled, it's permanent..You will have to reorder the item again.
