Default VCI to release The Flying Deuces, The Prowler and What the Peeper Saw

Source Facebook
VCI Horror Movies As a matter of fact we do have some to announce. First up in November is the complete uncut, widescreen version of "What the Peeper Saw" with Britt Ekland. This will be a VCI Webstore exclusive and limited to only a 2,000 unit run. We will also be releasing "The Prowler," "The Flying Deuces," in early 2015 on BD. Stay tuned as there are more to come.

And this is the classic film the Prowler starring Van Heflin , not the slasher under the same name
The Flying Deuces at least to my knowledge is the first Laurel and Hardy film to get a blu ray release.

I havent seen What The Peeper Saw ...

The Prowler is a great, unsung noir, so that's definitely one for my purchase pile.

Because it's Public Domain.
(One of their funnier ones, but the obvious reason why it's the most accessible on video.)

VCI is at least a little better at PD than Madacy, Legend or a hundred no-names (as with their Sim Christmas Carol), let's just hope it gets a little respect.

It is possible that VCI contacted Cary Roan, since this film did get a DVD release from the Roan Group, and they worked together on White Zombie, why not The Flying Deuces ?

I'm really happy to hear about a Blu-ray release of The Prowler (1951), since I've held off on buying the DVD so far.

What The Peeper Saw sounds pretty interesting.
The Prowler is a noir I haven't seen, but am interested in.

Looking forward to both of them!

March of the Wooden Soldiers (aka Babes in Toyland) has been out on BD for a few years now. There's even a 3D version.

The Prowler has Van Heflin in an over the top role .. it really is an amazing film. I don't want to spoil anything. I wound up doing a blind buy for it and its on my shelf

Definitely will wait and see the reviews before ordering.
VCI's White Zombie debacle made me hesitant to preorder from them.

The last blu-ray I had from VCI (The Black Tent) was a BD-R, so I will be waiting for reviews before getting any of these titles.

White Zombie wasnt a BDr so youre safe

I ordered Peeper too.. if it wasnt limited I might have tried to wait it out and see if I could rent it or what have you. But because its only 2000 if I waited and enjoyed the film Id probably miss out.. Another gamble !

Flying Deuces is in HD on Netflix. The transfer looks good, but it is a long way from being what Laurel & Hardy fans want to see on blu-ray. The Bullfighters is available in HD too. Really, considering the quality of those movies, they really should have been a twofer to justify the price.
