I own 40 of the top 25, hmmm.

Although, I wouldn't include Goodfellas on the list, it doesn't even have lossless audio, how could it be a top 25 disc?

Seeing as there are 50 movies listed shouldn't this be top 50?

Wow how many blu-ray owners are there? I will guess right around 1,000,000. 235 voters got to choose which are the best 25 out of 500 titles. That process sounds a little to much like the electoral college.

Own 25/50. You're list is ridiculous and needs re-done dude. You got more than 25 titles and stating its a "Top 25" list.

And don't forget Crank. The Spiderwick Chronicles looks/sounds spectacular too.

lmao, well done with the political connection joke! Reminds me a little bit of Murphy Brown.

Oh, and my count is 19/25.

235 users voting in a poll here on br.com is a huge achievement! Americans, being lazy voting! Who'd have thought?

Ack, I made another political joke. Sorry! Sorry!!!

But, this makes me want to see the 6 I don't have all the more - Close Encounters, Space Odyssey, Fifth Element, Departed and Prestige and...what was it? Goodfellas. Renting time! Good thread, jdub.

Hey, but seriously - how long before this degenerates into a fierce debate about movies again? Taking bets now to see when the first disgruntled poster will post something instigative.

idk i thought it would be better to count trilogies and sequels as owning a set or as one together, seeing how most people who buy one are most likely going to buy em all or already have bought the sequels, its a must if you like the series, thats why the count is over 25, plus there were a bunch of ties....

and there was one mistake black hawk down was number 10, kicking out the rambo set...

.
Those are ALL great movies..... Close Encounters, 2001, and Goodfellas are MUST OWNS..... you could skip the rest, but they're "Must Sees" if you haven't.
