Wow I wish I had that kind of power over the forum! Seriously though you don't need to censor your post. I was just wound up a bit by people saying this sucks when its the best of the three.

I enjoyed this the least out of the 3 because the main action stars get pushed to the side for most of the run time. Still I am glad an r rated cut is coming to fix the editing, that was my second problem with the film in my opinion.

OK, but I must confess, I posted my earlier reply moaning about you not liking the film before I even realised who it was I was replying to. You've always been very informative and helpful on the forums.

Anyway I'm glad they're doing a steel for this and I have 1 and 2 that way and definitely need the 3rd to round out the set.

Good news that this will be a stronger uncut version. Sadly steelbook is now unavailable. Hmmmm.

I'll see it however badly it gets panned, I'm interested in seeing how the director of Red Hill does with it and it does have the advantage of not having another comatose turn from Willis. What the films need is more of the ludicrously over exaggerated silliness Van Damme and Norris brought to the second. The Grauniad didn't like it but I did like this line from the review: "Statham can exude a sort of charm, mainly based around his own apparent disbelief at how well it’s gone for him in the film game"

Passed 15 uncut for "strong violence, strong language".

I see you as THE Arnie guru, so could you tell me. UK or US for this? Same discs/cut or will one have something over the other?

If it is anything like the expendables 2 release it might be missing a featurette or two. The UK missed out on a great featurette that included interviews with Sly and Arnold etc. It will have the same cut of the film as the US unrated version though. I like that sound of that "The Arnie guru".

Good work Ill_Be_Back.

Looks like a healthy helping of extras this time around compared to EX2. A nice longer than average 'Making Of' doc too.

I wondered this and had a look on the BBFC site.

Theatrical film: 126m 19s
Retail version: 121m 12s
Extended Cut: 125m 56s

Click on the button to the right of Feature to see the above figures.

For reference, the theatrical will be at the correct frame rate, both retail and extended cuts will be the PAL running lengths, so don't be alarmed about the theatrical release running longer than both other submissions...
