Yep, I just had an amazon notification on my pre-order. Shame, I've been looking forward to that...

Thankfully it gives me more time to decide whether to pre-order it or not! Either way I'm gonna buy it...but Amazon have been dropping new release Arrow titles to £8.99 fairly frequently it seems (Brute Force fell to that price only a few weeks after release).

Cool

I just watched this. Wonderful Film Noir. Moves into probably one of my top Noirs I've seen so far. Strange Criterion hasn't released their version of it yet. Anyways, folks who who have a region free player and don't live in Region B territory, I highly recommend adding this to your collection.

Same here.

I've preferred every Jay Shaw Arrow Academy cover there's been. The Long Goodbye is a particular favourite.

I forget what the source for this was, but it wasn't a print. If it was, it wouldn't look half as good!

Really like the presentation of this film on the Arrow Blu-ray. Lancaster is one of my favourite actors and is tremendous, though he's actually in fewer scenes in this than I remembered from first viewing a number of years ago.

For the '64 film. The '46 film is included as a "bonus" but it was never stated to be in 4K.

The screenings in Picturehouse’s noir season have been from the Film Foundation’s new 4K DCP, so hoping Criterion or Arrow can do a 4K disc soon.
