Nope, it's just Amazon CSR roulette.

While they've done that for me a few times, there was one time where I was later charged for the unreturned item 30 days later. Luckily, I saved the e-mail where the CSR told me I did not need to return the item and provided it to another CSR who credited my card.

Already tried two websites but it's backordered. I'm trying one last smaller retailer (won't name it until the movie is in my hands), and if it doesn't work out I'm just settling for the standard edition.

I ordered the LE from Amazon.com back when it was still only a 5000 copy run. I managed to get my order in before the listing was removed due to being sold out. It was 55.98. That was back in July.

More recently, Amazon.ca dropped their price to 55.99. Seeing as I live in Canada, and not the US, I decided I'd save myself a little money and get it from Amazon.ca and I cancelled my order from Amazon.com...

Fast forward to today, well suffice to say I am more than likely not going to receive a copy from Amazon.ca (in part to their own stupidity) and am now "forced" (read: not) to place an order with Amazon.com once again...at the swollen price of 71.97 plus tax (plus the terrible exchange rate).

The moral of the story, children, is....Well there isn't one, other than I'm a total nincompoop.

Earlier this June, I ordered this patio furniture set for an enclosed porch that I was redecorating. With tax, it cost me around $389. When I received it, the batting for the pillows was coming out and the legs for the coffee table were all scratched up; nothing that some stitching and spray paint couldn't fix, but I just sent them an email saying some of the stuff was damaged, maybe look into the way it's packaged. Amazon responded by calling me the next night, issuing me a full refund & telling me to just toss the damaged items and keep the rest.

I also ordered at that price at the same time, but then cancelled when blowitoutahere had their Halloween code for 15% off...but I forgot to order in time (not that it would have necessarily shipped anyway) so re-ordered at the higher price from Amazon. I e-mailed customer service and asked if they could honor the previous price that I didn't mean to cancel, and they did. It shipped, I have it...I'm sure this will be cheaper and start showing up elsewhere, but just happy to have a copy and be done with it. Thanks Amazon for the great customer service!

I gotta say, I'm surprised at the rate in which this has sold; to the point where many of us have backordered copies and the possibility that they won't be fulfilled.

I remember when it was announced thinking that the price was WAY to high and they'd never sell even close to the 10,000. Now I'm worried I won't get my copy at all.

I may have missed it, but has SF acknowledged at all the LE copies that were delivered to those who preordered the single disc edition?

Really hoping Best Buy comes through. They've never let me down so far
