I don't want to be billed for both orders. Does anyone know how long I can safely wait to cancel my Amazon order before it gets shipped out (guaranteed delivery on Nov. 11 release day).

I cancelled my Amazon order yesterday. Amazon usually ships to me on Sunday, but I didn't want to take the chance that they might ship early this time. Plus I didn't think Amazon would match the $152 price.

Thank you for the responses (and the others who responded too that I did not quote here). I cancelled my Amazon order a little while ago. Just didn't want to chance getting 2 Batman sets billed to me.

Looks like I'll be skipping football and watching this on Thanksgiving. Only thing missing will be my bowl of Quisp cereal I would eat while watching this in the early 70's as a kid. That and the antenna-dependent TV reception.

Have you noticed the Price Hike ? I've got an e mail in to Chris, asking if they'll honor the ordered price of $149.97 ?

Ha ha, not the only one. I was pretty much a toddler, but I was alive back then and Batman is the earliest show I have memories of. The show would sometimes frighten me, especially episodes with the Mad Hatter, so my parents didn't want me to watch it anymore, but I found I could hide behind a piece of furniture in the hallway and be able to watch it without them knowing.

I still have a small Batman plate and mug I was given back then, my oldest possessions. (I wish I still had my utility belt though)

I believe an original toy utility belt in the packaging commands several thousand these days. An unopened one would far exceed $10,000.

Cannot wait until the 11th! Got mine pre-ordered a few days ago from Amazon.
I am a HUGE fan of this show, having grown up with re-runs in the 80's when I was a kid.
My personal favorite episode is "The Joker is Wild".

Default ABC News interruption & BD packaging

I was alive and well when these were first broadcast. I even remember one episode that was interrupted with a news break. Batman & Robin were trapped in a room, a small door opened up and a hand was about to drop a bomb in the room when ABC interrupted the program!!! Every time I see this episode in re-runs I remember seeing the "An ABC Special Report" slide replacing the show.

Re: Packaging, I am disappointed to see in the big box they are overlapping discs inside their cases. You need two free hands to remove the lower disc. It actually looks very cheap, and easy to scratch the disc on top. With that big box they could have given each disc it's own holder. The box is big enough!

Smile Batman's format fits in today.

I disagree, today's TV programs are full of continued story lines that require you to wain a whole week for a conclusion. And then there are the cliffhanger season finales. Seasons back then just ended, no cliffhanger.

Batman's format is more at home today than ever. And just look at the 'comedies' without laughtracks. "The Office", "Parks & Recreation", "Community", "30 Rock", "The Middle", "Modern Family". Batman '66 fits right in.
