Looks like I'll be skipping football and watching this on Thanksgiving. Only thing missing will be my bowl of Quisp cereal I would eat while watching this in the early 70's as a kid. That and the antenna-dependent TV reception. |

Ha ha, not the only one. I was pretty much a toddler, but I was alive back then and Batman is the earliest show I have memories of. The show would sometimes frighten me, especially episodes with the Mad Hatter, so my parents didn't want me to watch it anymore, but I found I could hide behind a piece of furniture in the hallway and be able to watch it without them knowing.
![]() I still have a small Batman plate and mug I was given back then, my oldest possessions. (I wish I still had my utility belt though) |

I was alive and well when these were first broadcast. I even remember one episode that was interrupted with a news break. Batman & Robin were trapped in a room, a small door opened up and a hand was about to drop a bomb in the room when ABC interrupted the program!!! Every time I see this episode in re-runs I remember seeing the "An ABC Special Report" slide replacing the show.
Re: Packaging, I am disappointed to see in the big box they are overlapping discs inside their cases. You need two free hands to remove the lower disc. It actually looks very cheap, and easy to scratch the disc on top. ![]() |

Batman's format is more at home today than ever. And just look at the 'comedies' without laughtracks. "The Office", "Parks & Recreation", "Community", "30 Rock", "The Middle", "Modern Family". Batman '66 fits right in. |
