Seems very video gamey.

But really who will care, you are still going to pay for it. It could be subtitled "Our fans are jacka***s" and it would still pull in a billion.

I like the title a lot. It makes a lot of sense considering that Luke, as of the end of Return of the Jedi was the only force user left in the galaxy. With the rumors of the film having
[Show spoiler]Luke in exile, because he's become so powerful in the force that it has overcome him. With that in mind, and him in hiding, when the others go to find him, it awakens the powers and the force powers inside him
. It's a strong title, and I also like that it's only three words, like the titles of the first part of both trilogies before it. This just seems like classic Star Wars to me.

My thoughts exactly. I love the title.

Is that because of the very successful "The Force Unleashed" video game?

I think it is more along the lines that
[Show spoiler] force users no longer exist. Luke returning and using the force reawakens the force in the universe. Making people aware of it again. That the force, which hadn't been seen used in years, (maybe even becoming a fairy tale) in essence awakens for the people of the Republic.

Seems stupid to bring somebody back to life only to kill them again, but we'll see.

You know what would be awesome about that? I mean, aside from the fact that we actually are jackasses?

Nobody could ever use the word jackass again without one of those little 'registered trademark of Lucasfilm Inc, please don't sue us' notices.

It's not bad. In and of itself it doesn't sound too inspired, but maybe it'll make more sense once you've seen the film.

I remember being a bit mystified when we found out the title to Episode I was "The Phantom Menace." But everybody pretty just called it Episode I. It didn't really matter, and of all the problems I had with that movie, "Phantom Menace" wasn't one of them. It actually sounds natural to me now.

He is, he's the most popular movie reviewer on YT at the moment it seems

I used to like him back in the day but his reviews now tend to be crowd pleasers half the time I think, almost studio pleasers sometimes. Plus he doesn't delve deep enough into movies to give solid reviews, too quick fire.

If you want to watch a really good reviewer then check out Oliver Harper

I guess the masses will pay attention to any annoying moron as long as he's associated with the term "popular."

Symbiotic, you made it a lot further in than I did.

Couldn't care less about the title. If the movie is good, they can call it George for all I care.

Hmmmm. Could be. It does have that same gimmicky marketing ring to it.

Hahaha. I actually really want to see "Star Wars: you're a jackass" so badly. It's like the Birdman of sci-fi movies.

Nope, you're wrong.

"The Empire Strikes Back" = FOUR WORDS
"Return of the Jedi" = FOUR WORDS

The only one with three words, wasn't even originally added to the movie. "A New Hope" was later added to the title for home video (and the 1997 Special Edition in theaters).

Also you mentioned "both trilogies" so let's look into that:

Phantom Menace = TWO WORDS
Attact of the Clones = FOUR WORDS
Revenge of the Sith = FOUR WORDS

You bolded it but didn't read his post properly. He said the FIRST part of the previous two trilogies. A New Hope and The Phantom Menace are both three words long.

He said the first part and was referring to A New Hope and The Phantom Menace.
