I just lived there a year, but I married my "high school sweetheart" and we only spoke "srpski" at home for the 4 years we were married. I lived there back in 88-89, before the shit hit the fan. Got to participate in quite a few demonstrations and realized early what an ass Milosevic was. I don't get to speak Serbian very often, but I try to speak it when I can.

Funny...nope, my buddy (on the left), loves getting pictures of himself pointing at drunk people. And that night I contributed to his collection! And by the way, I'm no alcoholic, just like to unwind from work and school on the weekends I think a majority of the pics here are from parties, hence the alcohol relatation

I love the language, I intend to eventually learn it. I was amazed to find that so many speak spoke very fluent english, especially those in their 20's.

It's a mess what happened over there, things appear to be getting better though, Belgrade may be more run down compared to London, Paris, etc but that city has far more heart and soul to it than either of the two.

And lets not forget, how attractive are the Serbian women

Yeah, it was difficult for Tatjana and I to watch. It's part of the reason we got divorced. Things'll get better for everyone there.

Yer some Slavic women don't age well and go very butch and some age really well and look gorgeous even into their more mature years.

You've heard of PinkTV? some of the women on that two girls (sorta relo's) I hung around with whilst I was there were the lotto girls, wow is all I can say! I got to go back stage and I saw many beauty's One of the girls I was briefly seeing whilst there was on Pink singing not all that long ago.

With the whole 1999 bombings, it's weird, not born there, never been indoctrinated about Serbia, i've been raised Australian (with ethnic background) but I'll say Milocevic wasn't a good man by any stretch of the imagination, but what Nato did wasn't right either...but better off we don't do into that :P

Things will get better, once I start full-time work next year i'm seriously considering eventually looking into getting a small appartment in the city, I was shocked to see how high property values are in Belgrade!
