Default July Featured Title/Double Feature

Got my mailing yesterday and the Featured Title is Treasure Planet combo for $34.95; or Double Feature with Home on the Range for $47.95 w/free ship.

This is my first mailing since joining - is this a good deal or meh?

Considering ordering the Double at $47.95 to then be able to order various 3D combos at 26.97 (with the buy 1 get others 40% off) and get free ship on the whole order. Do the 3D's ever get lower than this? (the 50% off deals seem to never include free ship, so you get back to about this price anyways)

Thanks for the heads up AC2011! Will definitely be ordering the two-pack feature title. Wanted those two anyway, plus the free shipping. Might also throw in Pocahontas in there and close off my commitment as those would be my final two.

However, the 50% off deal is dead. Back to 40% off additional titles now. (however when you read the fine print, it says 33% ) and no free shipping. Getting worse and worse! You might as well take advantage of the 2-fer featured title to get the best bang for your buck.

EDIT: Should also note that Lady & The Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure is also available currently. With 40% off comes to $17.97.
Done and Done.

I tried it out, adding the Double to my cart, then adding Tangled 3d combo, and it came down to $26 and change (regular $44.95), and no shipping on the whole order.

So, I think if your "1" is the Double, that gets you the free ship on the order. If your "1" is something else regular priced, you might still have to pay shipping. Just an FYI.

Yeah, might go for the Double and LaTT II as well.

Default August Featured Title(s)

Got my mailing today. Featured Title 2-Pack is The Aristocats and The Rescuers 2-movie for $44.95. This makes them slightly cheaper than the pre-order price (having used a $10 off coupon for ordering both) at Amazon.ca for around $27 each. Final price on the Amazon.com pre-orders might come in cheaper than this??

Can also get a Triple Feature with LaTT for $59.95.

There is also a Free Shipping offer (with 1 regular priced title) and 40% off additional movies.

So, a few choices this month, but not sure any I will be biting on. Might cancel my pre-orders of Aristocats and Rescuers from the .ca and wait to see whether they might become enrollment selections down the line. Never seen any of these and not really dying for them - plus August and September are already shaping up to be expensive BD months....

Final price on Amazon.com will definitely come in lower then this. Best Buy.com already has those movies priced at $19.99 as preorders. When Amazon ends up matching the price, the people with the $8 coupon from Amazon.com will get those for $11.99 each before taxes.

Edit: They were priced at $19.99, but have since gone back up to $29.99 at BestBuy.com

I'm in the same boat AC2011... I have finished my commitment with DMC as I am a craptacular VIP member now with no added benefits other than a free pin! Hooray!

So am wondering if I should order the featured title two-pack, or not. Was planning on cancelling the membership and signing back up again right away, ordering so many movies plus this months Feature as my first commitment title... but haven't made the final decision yet.

I too have the Amazon.com (& .ca for that matter) preorders in for these titles already... so at least I don't have to respond to the featured title until their release date, and by then I should have a better idea of what Amazon will charge...

I still have one more commitment title to purchase (taking into account Cinderella once it ships), so maybe I will pick this up so that I can cancel and rejoin right after I get Cinderella. Not sure.

One possible good thing about this one is that with the price at 44.95, the 3D titles will come in at 40% off, so it might be a chance to pick up some 3D titles a little cheaper.

I'm heading to the states this weekend, and hoping to grab some stuff at BB and Target and wherever, so we'll see what I am able to get and then figure it out, I guess...

So... are both versions of Cinderella (gold and blue) available from DMC? If so, what is the difference in price with and without the DC?

No, all versions of Cinderella have been taken down from the website and are no longer available for pre-order. More than likely it will come back in time for it's October release though.

The regular non-Digital copy edition was marked down by $5, so $29.95 and counted as one commitment title. The Digital copy edition was not marked down at $39.95, and the 3-movie collectors set was a very well priced $64.95 and counted as 2 commitment titles.

Is this the norm for their collectors sets? (Counts as 2 commitment titles)

From the catalogue; "All movies priced $54.95 or more count as 2 units toward your purchase commitment".

Ugh DMC sounded like a nicer deal with its US dollar currency. Canadian is $34.95 regular. Plus shipping and tax comes to $43 -45 per title. I thought I read somewhere on the site saying that the sales/tax is already pre-paid? Can someone go in on this? It is still cheaper to go with this though I guess.

I just finished my commitment with them, this is what I spent:

First sign-up order was for 7 movies
[Show spoiler]Captain America, DisneyNature Oceans, Bambi 2, Tron, Prom, TinkerBell
, total cost; $30.38
2nd commitment order was for 2-movie double feature
[Show spoiler]Lion King 1 1/2 + Lion King 2 monthly double feature
, total cost; 45.14
3rd commitment order was for 3 Blu-rays, (4 movies
[Show spoiler]Pocahontas 2-movie (on sale for $29.95), Treasure Planet + Home on The Range double monthly feature
), total cost; 88.02

All together I spent; $163.54
For a total of $12.58 per movie, taxes and shipping inclusive.

No, taxes are not included in pricing, and I only took advantage of free shipping offers, so I never had to pay shipping costs.

That's awesome. I'm gonna have to get in on this already, especially since the Marvel movies are included and like all Disney titles never seem to go down in price.

One bit of warning... the only Marvel movies included are Thor and Captain America currently. As well as a pre-order for the 10-disc Marvel collection set at $194.95 and counts as two towards commitment.

Thor and Captain America are NOT eligible as enrollment titles, and currently cost $36.95 each before tax, but they do count as 1 towards commitment each. Hope that helps!
