I think that scene will only be shown in one of the documentairies on the Blu-ray like on the DVD release. There are two deleted scenes on the Blu-ray but that are the scenes that were added to the movie for the 2002 cut.

Was that actually show on the DVD? I only have the laserdisc which has the full documentary.

Link? I've searched and can't find it.

I might just get both the digibook and SteelBook. But I'm definitely getting the digibook. I can't believe I'm buying digibooks.

Maybe this has already been mentioned in the thread, but if you go to http://www.universal100th.com/ and watch the clip from E.T., it's most definitely the newer CG E.T. and not the original puppet. That would seem to suggest that's what we'll get on the Blu-ray.

I think I'm in the same boat as everyone else trying to figure out if I should get the steelbook or digibook. I really like both, but I favor the digi and my boyfriends prefers the steel. I just don't like inconsistent quality when it comes to steelbooks. I would like nothing more than to toss my Goodfellas steel if it gets a new release next year. Hopefully E.T. gets something of better quality and makes it to the stores undamaged. I wouldn't dare have it shipped, Target doesn't give a hoot if it makes it out of their warehouse in one piece.

Anybody know yet if the ship is a standalone piece or does the blu ray fit inside? Judging by the video, I would say the blu ray does not fit in there, but I'm not sure...

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. Digibook or Steelbook? Someone said Target doesn't care about shipped products. Anyone else have similar experiences?
