Yes, just gag me. Can't they think of anything new? I'm already diappointed that they had to bring Khan back - again...

They don't have to. There's no law in the Universe that I'm aware of that states that.

Would love to see a third installation sooner rather than later!

Sooner rather than alter? What does that even mean? Why would they be searching for Spock anyway? Doubt he's the focus of this 5 year mission.

Star Trek III: Spock Is Lost

has to be the logical title for the next film. Spock gets lost on his way to engineering and they spend the next two hours searching the Enterprise trying to find him.

No one can tell me why that's an interesting thing to do though. Let's have some new adventures!

I was thinking more of a bro date without telling the rest of the crew and they end up MIA prior to 5 year mission....action and hilarity ensues. Q eventually appears to maintain order.

Cheers,

They pretty much left it open for a Klingon movie for 3.

A Klingon movie is fine, actually welcome - as long as they don't rehash some same storyline from the original series/movies...

Klingons aside - if they do take the exploration route of discovering new worlds and wonders, I want William Shatner to be the voice of an energy being or something. There has to be a cameo with the Shatman and Pine together.

I don't really care about the movies anymore. Just want to have Star Trek back on television where it thrives.

If it is Wyatt, he better add all that delicious lens flair, or it just won't feel right

All the recent Marvel and sci-fi films have have shown me that there are alot of capable directors out there who can handle the size, scale and importance of the material. I'm not worried at all about whoever they choose.
TOS is so full of great stories and characters to mine for the next movie that it'll be fun to see where they go next.

There needs to be more Bones in the next one. On the TV show, the character has as much screen time as Kirk and Spock. I like it when all three are together, with Kirk being the emotional one, Spock being logical, and Bones somewhere in the middle being rational.

Yeah Star Trek movies were never the cream of the crop when it came to the franchise as a whole. Television is where it truly lives and breathes.

Not sure if serious but if you are, that is a lame and unoriginal thing to say.

Much like Orci, Kurtzman and Lindelof's dialogue. Hey-O!
