The aliasing in the picture is very minor if at all noticeable - the banding and compression problems, however, are much more troublesome. Not sure what kind of compression algorithm this new batch of titles is being fed through, but ENG, L&S and Atlantis all suffer the same issues - strange macroblocking which crops up in many shots, in certain colours/parts of the picture. For an example, watch the shot of Pacha walking along the bridge near the start of ENG, just before he meets the old man who was thrown out the window. Pacha's green poncho is riddled with noisey macroblocking. Not really sure why this came about, but it's there in all 3 films' transfers. Plus light amounts of edge enhancement seem to have been added to all as well (especially noticeable in ENG as it bleeds in from the black pillarboxes).

I love seeing movies that generally get ripped apart and receive awful scores on imdb and rottentomatoes, get a great mark here and a loving review.

It does disappoint me when certain films that I love get bad scores but that's probably because I begin to feel like certain reviews have similar taste to me and then these low marks come out of nowhere like a sharp blow.

TENG is a personal favourite of mine from the newer era of Disney. I've loved it since I was a kid and I think it's got a lot of heart, excellent character development, great voice acting, it looks beautiful often in a simplistic manner and above all, it's hysterical.

Maybe it's just because I've loved it since I was a kid but to this day, I still crack up laughing during TENG every time I watch it. How this gets 3/5 and Lilo and Stitch gets 4.5/5 is beyond me. That's just my opinion though and I can't fault others for thinking differently.

... TENG is way better though
Same here. For me it a perfect movie. 5/5 for the actual film. I'll wait for the BD to see just how good it looks in HD.

It stands the test of time, every single person that watched it with me loved it and I'm with you about reading the reviews here just for the PQ. I could care less what the reviewer thinks of the movie. Here or anywhere. I long ago found out that people are not the same and many time I've hated movies with great reviews and other time movies I LOVE get horrid reviews.

Best thing to watch for yourself!!

Lilo & Stitch and ENG are at my top 10 all time Fave. Disney movies, ENG is #1. (I rate movies based on how many time I can watch them and still enjoy them) I will still get Atlantis even tough it's kinda crappy.

I'm with you, it's is one of my faves of Disney Animation (post-Lion King) and easily the best thing David Spade has ever done

Don't stone me, but I'm actually with the reviewer on this one.

I've seen ENG several times, and while I've always enjoyed it, it's always been in the bottom tier of disney movies for me. It just doesn't seem to get me like many of you. I have nothing against the movie, and I can understand why so many love it, but for me its just enjoyable.

Also, I really wish they had kept this song in the film. It's awesome!

Well, here are mine to compare.

Emperor's New Groove: 9/10
Atlantis The Lost Empire: 6/10
Lilo & Stitch: 9/10
Treasure Planet: 7.5/10
Brother Bear: 6.5/10
Home on the Range: 4/10
Chicken Little: 3/10
Meet the Robinsons: 7/10
Bolt: 7/10
The Princess and the Frog: 9/10
Tangled: 8/10
Winnie the Pooh: 8/10
Wreck-it Ralph: 9/10

As you can see, I have great appreciation for Princess and the Frog, whereas I think Tangled is slightly inferior to it. I'm also not as hard on Treasure Planet and Brother Bear, though I don't dare giving Chicken Little and HotR a pass.

I love you guys and your appreciation of Princess and the Frog. I feel this movie is becoming vastly underrated, especially with contemporary Disney fans over 20.

Oooooo FUN!

And here are mine:

Fantasia 2000: 7/10
Dinosaur: ?/10 (I haven't seen this. I know, bad)
The Emperor's New Groove: 6/10 (funny...but eh.)
Atlantis: The Lost Empire: 4/10
Lilo & Stitch: 8/10
Treasure Planet: 5/10
Brother Bear: 8/10 (I really love this one. I know I'm in the minority)
Home on the Range: 2/10 (I haven't seen all of this)
Chicken Little: 1/10 (there is literally one good scene in this movie)
Meet the Robinsons: 6/10 (this is just eh for me)

The Princess and the Frog: 9/10 (purely for the animation. this is gold)

And from the new decade:

Tangled: 9.5/10 (I love this movie.)

Not me. I'm 23 and Princess and the Frog is the best film from the last decade IMO (from Fantasia 2000-Princess and the Frog).

I really liked it. The animation was gorgeous, Dr. Facilier was a cool villain, and to me it seemed right out of the Disney Renaissance era. The only issue I have with it is that the songs aren't that memorable. I was expecting the catchy songs of Little Mermaid, Beauty & The Beast, The Lion King, and Aladdin. I feel like the soundtracks for those films are just as famous as the films themselves. I was hoping for that in TPATF, but the songs were only ok.

I really like Princess and the Frog but I LOVE Tangled. And Tangled came out just one year later, essentially overshadowing TPATF for eternity!

Nah, I don't think for eternity. Tangled was definitely better marketed, that's for sure, but in the end I think PatF is going to end up the more timeless one. I mean, watching Tangled right now, it already seems pretty dated - sorry. I genuinely do like Tangled, I just don't think it's as good as PatF.

What makes you think Tangled already seems dated? I really don't feel like it has anything that will date it too much (likewise with PATF). The only things I can think of is Flynn's snarky narration and perhaps the musical arrangement of "When Will My Life Begin." But most Disney movies (and movies in general) have elements that are a reflection of their time, yet many of them still hold up as timeless classics.
