After reading about the new transfer, I'm going to take a chance and pre-order this from Amazon. It *should* be better than my DVD copy anyway, and now that the price has dropped I figure I'll go ahead and take the chance.

I'm not expecting miracles, but here's to hoping they put out a decent product, at least.

The image came from a French theatrical poster, so blame the French.

I also like the art you posted and may work up something along those lines.

To me, too. And the blue highlights near the eyes are just confusing.

I still prefer the DVD cover art.

I have to say, though, me with my often lamentable attempts at my own artwork, I take heart to some degree from the fact that even professionals can fall short of the mark.

I believe the "baboon" is the reverse cover. The other side will be the newly-commissioned art that's on the slipcover. I would have preferred that they use the old US dvd cover art (that was mostly black, reds, whites, and grays showing a couple of the werewolves) for the reverse.

Has there been any comparisons released on this compared to the Blu-ray that's out now? Dog Soldiers is my favorite werewolf movie and I own the DVD and the Bluray and I'm just wondering if it will be worth upgrading to this new Bluray?

Once it comes out people will compare it. No one has seen it yet.

Unless you've expedited your delivery to Express Mail (overnight shipping), you're not going to get it tomorrow.
