It looks like Hitchcock: The British Years DVD box set is now out of print (that's a great price if you haven't already got it). I hope that this paves the way for Blu-Ray releases.

Another Network title I'd like to see get the BD upgrade is The Possession Of Joel Delaney. The way they are announcing all these new titles it remains likely

Interesting that The Day the Earth Caught Fire is going OOP. Could that then be the British sci-fi classic BFI promised for Blu-ray later in the year?

Hmm.. BFI seemed to be hinting at The Day The Earth Caught Fire. I wonder if the DVD going OOP could be because the rights have moved over.

Yeah I can't help thinking that the silent restorations are not too far away from home video release; ditto for Jamaica Inn from Cohen. The non-Criterion half of the thriller sextet (which does not have a set release strategy), as well as the extras that do not appear on those Criterion releases do tempt me, though.

This is amazing news! I've been waiting a long time for some more early Hitchcock - absolutely thrilled.

I couldn't agree more with you both. I just hope that they use the same transfer as Criterion - I am region free but haven't got round to picking up their Hitchcocks yet, I always thought that a Network alternative was an eventuality. Hopefully the rest of the ITV Hitchcocks are hot on its heels.

I'm hoping we also get some of the restored Hitchcock silents as we've only had The Lodger so far

A couple more Blu-ray film titles have been added to Network's website, Countess Dracula and Twins of Evil, with release dates of Monday 20th October and Monday 13th October respectively.

Think it must have been a pricing error as all the other Blu's in the series are 11.99. Back up to that now

Some bad news for you people waiting for the Deluxe edition of The Professionals...it has been delayed until next year, Network citing production issues

However the blu ray of the existing release has been reduced to £24
