I haven't seen anyone deny people are having the problem. The only thing I have seen (and said) is we're not sure yet how pervasive it is. It's very surprising both tracks on all episodes would be messed up, which is what makes some of us wonder if it's something odd.

C'mon people, this is Star Trek we're talking about. These problems are obviously caused by a spatial anomaly! All we have to do is reconfigure the deflector dish to emit a tachyon stream with a frequency of 1.21 jiggawats, aim it at the blu-rays, and voila! The quantum signatures will be aligned properly.

I don't watch a show for fifty years without learnin' something.

Or, if that doesn't work, try reversing the polarity of the neutron flow.

Check to see on the laserdisc if it's out of sync. Then you'll know if its the source or the blu-ray. Give me an episode and description and I can check.

Why would it be the source when it's been proven that the DVDs and streaming versions are ok? I thought we finally accepted the blu-rays are at fault? What other proof do we need?

Some people don't see an issue. Without seeing it, i'll almost bet your being to critical. It's choppy animation trying to sinc to voices that weren't studio controlled. They even said on some occasions they taped their voices and then shipped the tapes.

But then why would moving the audio by the exact same amount on every single episode make it so that it matches up to the DVD?

Is there a reason that you're citing the laserdisc as definitive?

I've seen and it has nothing to do with being too critical. Once noticed, it is extremely egregious.

Sir we looked but it was not out of synch. However, when a toilet is fllushed it is causing the anti-matter to go through phasatonic pulses which tunes the deflector to bring in 1968 radio stations one of which is playing dusty or oldie records. Sir, we got our groove on with a tune from a group from the city of Houston Texas called Archie Bell & The Drells doing a dance they called the "Tighten Up."

This is why I've almost completely stopped posting on this site lately. It's not worth the aggravation. I'm trying to help. It's blatantly obvious that there is a sync issue with this release. People have ripped the files from the disc to MKV losslessly and it's still out of sync on their PC. How much more proof do people need that there is a sync issue?

If what you claim is correct, then how do you explain my DVDs and the streaming versions that play perfectly in sync?

Hopeless. This is why we're not going to get this addressed. Too many people casting doubt on the issue, so nobody is trying to get this thing looked at by the proper people.

Thank god for tech to solve the issue for me at least!
But the discs themselves are still out of sync, so using a receiver is not an acceptable solution because not everyone has a receiver that handles sync errors. Mine has auto mode but doesn't work. I have to set it manually which is annoying and shouldn't be necessary. And if I choose to watch them late at night using only my TV speakers or sound bar so as to not wake my neighbors, then I can't compensate for the sync. This needs to be fixed.

I would have expected Star Trek fans to be more demanding.

Sorry, late to the game here...
Let me see if I got this...
There is an audio synch issue with the animated series on blu-ray.
It affects both the 50th set and the stand-alone set.
Correct?

Now, does this happen on all disks and episodes or only some?

Has cbs been made aware of it?
Have they issued a statement?

How can I contact them?

From earlier posts, you have to add a positive delay to the audio track to get it in sync, which would mean that the audio is ahead of the video.

I was one of those people who said they noticed some slight audio sync issues but not all the way through. However, I will stand by those who have gone out of their way to investigate the issue and found that the sync is out consistently on all episodes. The discs need to be fixed and replacements issued (unfortunately for me I bought mine at a store and threw away the receipt).

And reviewers need to really watch and listen to the discs they are writing about. I'm tired of finding out discs I buy are faulty and these faults never being mentioned in reviews. It's only when those who buy them report them on sites like these that they are made known.

I bought this on dvd years ago and never watched it. So I figure that replacing it on blu ray is no priority for now.

Pretty sure the 50th Anniversary and stand alone releases of TAS are the exact same discs just with different artwork.

Just a minor point. Anyone have any thoughts on why they would put Kirk, Spock and Scotty on the cover rather than Kirk, Spock and McCoy?

Off the top of my head, to have the three uniform divisions colors on the box.

I haven't bought the set yet. Just wondering if anyone who has, had contacted CBS and heard back? I would rather wait until this was fixed until buying. Also wondering if anyone fixed this issue with a firmware update for their player.
