Sorry to say but it is sold out Looks like you can only buy now as part of the double pack unless Novamedia split them!

Oh ok, that makes the decision easier.

If I really wanted it, I guess I would've picked it up right away. I'm fine with my Target steel. Once the 3D amaray comes down in price a bit, I'll pick that up and just put the 3D disc in the Target steel.

Heres some more pics, i did the best i could with the digital camera i have. The characters have a very nice spot gloss to them. Im still blown away how fast this showed up. I only ordered last Friday and it shipped on Sat. Thats really only 4, almost 5 full days. Puzzling.

Can some one please help me out with this release? The one that everyone is receiving today is a long sold out version (it looks very nice BTW), but I also see that Nova Media still has 2 or 3 other Edge of Tomorrow steelbooks on their website. What is the difference between these releases?

I'm looking to get an Edge of Tomorrow steelbook for a reasonable price, but if there is little difference between this and the Target one, I may go for that one instead (heresy, I know ). In fairness, I did read through this thread for the answer, but I think I am more confused now than before.

Actually the Lenticular slip is a new release that just Sold Out.

The cheaper Edge of Tomorrow steelbook is the general Korean release. It has the same spot-glossing but there is no Nova Choice sticker or numbering or anything else special about it that you couldn't buy from other Korean retailers like Kimchidvd or K-SteelBook. Then you have the Nova exclusive 1/4 slip that they sold before repackaging it into the Lenticular slipcover

Thank you for explaining, I appreciate it. So it was a repackage of the same steelbook, that makes so much more sense now. And this set they have listed is a 2-pack of the original 1/4 slip + the repackaged lenti slip (- the art cards)? Guessing this is the only way to get the lenti slip now? When you start listing all these sets up, it's easier to see how one could lose track of them.

That's correct. But seeing as how they are both Sold Out separately, I don't understand how the 1-click option is still available.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's confused by this now. What a strange way to release it! It really looks like a cool set though. Just found a video of the lenti slip in action and I'm super impressed! The spine appears to be embossed too!

What NM says happened is that the studio didn't want them to release a lenti slip version
before, so they just released the limited edition 1/4 slip. After a couple of months the studio told them they could go ahead with the lenti slip version if they wanted to so they did. That one went on sale last week. That basically sums up why the releases were staggered, and like wjasoncul said, there's also the non-exclusive version that you can buy elsewhere.

Thanks Bruisermoore, what a silly move on the WB's part though! This movie was awesome, but it struggled at the box office...and WB doesn't want to release uber amazing exclusive packaging to make people (like me) double and triple dip? Glad they came to their senses though.

Same, mine shipped a couple days early or so I thought. NYC and still waiting, hasn't left Korea. My Usps tracking since Jan 27th says "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment"

Didn't expect to see it show up this quickly except for people who payed for faster shipping.

There was 3 shipping choices, i got the middle one which was ems and cost $20. The 3rd choice was like $48, the first one was $12. My tracking didnt even update once it hit customs in NYC, which was on the 28th. I figured at least 3 more days after it left NYC, but no, it was here the next morning.

EMS explains why you got it so fast. It's obviously faster shipping and it was rushed through customs faster, would explain the possible lack of updating tracking info imo.

Yeah you're probably right, although ive received like 7-8 orders from Kimchi using EMS and those averaged like 7-9 days at least. I probably just got a little lucky on this one.
