Anyone here collect them? I hear they're selling like hot cakes.

I bought an Ike one as I'm a big fan of Fire Emblem. I'll try and get the other Fire Emblem ones when I can.

So far I've held out on buying any of them, mostly because the ones I want usually happen to be the hard to find ones. I for sure would love to try and get in on the Yarn Yoshi ones but I'm sure they'll be retailer exclusive and I'm sure the website will crash as soon as pre-orders are up.

pretty much 90% of them are out of stock and retailers stating that they have no idea when or if any of them will be restocked,

I don't like the trend of locking out gaming content like the day one dlc with splatoon,

I want that yarn yoshi one tho,

There is no excuse why Nintendo can't overstock every single individual Amiibo Figurine to death in stores Globally.

Well the port strike supposedly had something to do with it but that doesn't explain why newer pre-orders are so damned hard to come by. You make something retailer exclusive? Take pre-orders until the demand is gone. These are not complex devices and they should for sure be able to accommodate everyone.

The ones that I want are already sold out and I refuse to pay eBay scalper prices. I'm not paying $50 for something is not in the stores yet.

Nintendo has to know that around 85% of their exclusives in the US are ending up in the hands of scalpers instead of in the hands of actual fans and collectors. Its Majora's Mask day 1 all over again every time a new wave comes out.

they don't want to. They're selling incredibly well and scarcity is a big part of it.

I've got 10 I really want and have even sold off a few I bought after getting swept up in it. I'm likely done when I get Ness, as it's just a huge shit show and only getting worse. You shouldnt have to line up at a gamestop at 2pm on a workday just to preorder something. Then you have retailers throwing up preorders that sell out in minutes or at 2 am or whatever.

I don't have any, I don't want any. I just can't believe Nintendo is being evil & stupid of a company to hold back these toys to raise demand. It's pure nonsense & doesn't make them any money what so ever. People on Craigslist or EBay cashing in, sure. Nintendo, not so much.

So it's Nintendo's loss. Great buisness model they got going over there. lol

Woke up extra early and went to target. Got a silver Mario and a jiggly puff from there. Then I went to toys r us and waited in line and the employees started handing out tickets. I got the last ticket for lucina and then someone offered me $20 for it so of course I took that deal . Ended the morning with a silver mario, jigglypuff, greninja, and robin

My Toys R Us gave out tickets as well. I'm glad that they had more than enough Greninja available but they only allowed one copy of a figure per customer.

That's really for the best. I only got backups for people who've asked me because they were unable to order one themselves.

I'm confused why the Pac-Man amiibo is $20 on Amazon now. It wasn't even suppose to go on sale yet. I assumed it would be for the regular $12-$13.

Pac-Man has been out for a long time now, at least outside US that is.

In the UK, eBay prices have halved over night with the amount of restocks at the moment. I bought Shulk (£15) and Little Mac (£11) this morning. I bought Robin (£15) and Ness (£17) a few days prior.

I cancelled £10.99 preorders of Ganondorf, Zero Suit Samus, Bowser Jr and Dr Mario to pay for them.

I think I can say I'm done with amiibo now. I guess Villager would be quite cool as well.

Not pictured: Toon Link and Sheik because they are currently out of stock EVERYWHERE and I refuse to pay inflated prices on eBay
