Furious 7 also has a date listed about a month earlier than expected on dvdworldusa, date for that movie is 21st July, instead of end of august. If true how is this site getting its updates before Amazon, Best Buy etc

A thread for that would be tossed out of the steelbook forum faster than you can say "Assemble"

That is a good question. They must have their ways of finding out what the BD release dates for movies are from the movie studios, before other websites find out what the BD release dates are for movies.

Like others have said, based on the preivous April/May MCU releases I don't see this coming out that early in August. I feel like it will be September or late August at the earliest. This movie is going to have legs and they'll keep it in theaters as long as they can.

But as usual, we'll be debating about this with Sean B. until an official announcemnt from Disney/Marvel.

I guess we'll have to wait and see but i'm pretty confident, that August 4th 2015 is in fact its Blu-ray release date.

I would'nt say the films doing bad, but its not beating any records like the first one. I'm starting to wonder if it will beat the first films 1.5b for not.

Second weekend is much lower than I thought it would be. Still, that's some great box office right there. The comic fad ain't ending any time soon.

After Infinity War and Justice League, I hope they do die down a bit. As much as I enjoy most of these movies I wouldn't mind seeing them go away for a bit to make room for some original content.

Oh same here. I wish they would start fading right now actually. I want to live in a world where Mad Max makes more this weekend than Avengers did.

I just think that after the MCU culminates with Infinity War and we finally get a live-action Justice League, there won't be much more left to offer and the whole comic-book movie phase will hit its fever pitch (if it hasn't already). Of course the box office receipts for those movies will convince studios to keep going for another few years, but ultimately I think (hope) that those movies will be the beginning of the end.
