I love these artworks, I don't much care if it's not original artwork etc. Except the orange/bronze texture on III and the Lost Worlds silver are imo wrongfully used. JP III should have the silver texture! Leaving the orange best placed for LW.

Evidence... all silver

Then the world will burn.

Seriously though, it doesn't matter that much to me. It just looks a little nicer if they all fit together is all, but the discs inside are what's most important.

Yea, it doesn't stop me from buying it and the transfer is #1 in importance, but the presentation interests me nonetheless.

Google translated from the German website 4kfilme.de.
Quote:
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has confirmed the release of all previously released Jurassic Park movies on 4K UHD Blu-ray. Almost all four catalog releases can boast a 4K remaster including HDR processing. The Jurassic Park films will be released on May 31, 2018.

Shortly before the theatrical release of "Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom" on June 7, 2018, all previously released films of the dinosaur franchise will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray. Fans may be particularly looking forward to the remastering of the first three parts "Jurassic Park" (1993), "Jurassic Park 2 - Forgotten World" (1997) and "Jurassic Park 3" (2001). The negative material should shine with a 4K-scan and HDR-Coloring in the "new light". The latest installment, "Jurassic World" starring Chris Pratt ( Guardians of the Galaxy ), may well go back to the 2K Cinema Master (DI - Digital Intermediate).

Where does it actually definitely state that though, rather than whoever wrote this piece just assuming that they did new 4K scans? They're not sure about JW being upscaled from the 2K DI when it damned sure will be, for example.

Agree that the transfer is of utmost importance but since they have to use a cover at least pick a good one.

Translations about these matters can be tricky, but hopefully they are new 4K scans for the first three movies.

I wanna give Universal the benefit of the doubt on these, simply because they have been doing a good job with the format so far. You can be sure the HDR grade will look great, at the very least.

Sure, I've still got high hopes that they're gonna be doing some Mummy-style goodness on these, it just seems like that site is offering little more than conjecture at this point (reminds me of that German place which declared that the Harry Potters would have Dolby Vision on disc, ummmm nope).

I can see 2 and 3 ending up looking real nice but what about 1? That it got a remaster for the 3D version may throw a spanner in the works, they might end up re-using that and I hope to Spielberg that it doesn't look as brown and noise-reduced as the 3D version does.

If these look anywhere near as good as the Mummy’s I’ll be very pleased but yeah you’re right, 1 is anyone’s guess. Let’s hope they go the extra mile.

I would be fine if they are along the lines of The Mummy I and III quality. Returns wasn't bad, but wasn't what I would hope for having.

They can do better than that; it's a matter of will. If they put as much effort into JP as they did with Spartacus (seemingly a one-off for Universal), this film would look amazing.

I hope Universal takes Jurassic Park and Jaws as seriously as we do and gives them both princely treatment. There's no excuse to do any less.
