Hollywood is out of original ideas. Desperate for any series they can milk out. With that being said this is a proper adaptation to do even though I don't care for 2 game of thrones actors being chosen. Would rather have them pick some unknowns that look more the part.

You'll have a point if it turns out that it has a different idea for a story. She's a little old to be playing the (initially) innocent child protected by a father figure. I wonder if they made her about five years older so they could have her do more sex stuff or because kids with guns are viewed less favorably now. Actress looks like she has a light case of Down syndrome. Chalked it up to inbreeding in the north in Game of Thrones.

I don't plan to watch it. Found the game mediocre. All of Druckmann's stories are. Just curious about what their intentions are here.

Stories don’t end just because there’s a solid or even number of episodes. That would be like all books and novels ending on page 100 or 500 or 1000.

That's a valid point, but shows nowadays have 8 or 9 episodes so that's the new standard.

We learned our lesson about “making shows have 10 episodes” when HBO released the overlong, ten episode, Stephen King show called, THE OUTSIDER

There was literally three episodes in a row where the narrative never moved - It was like pulling teeth

Then… TADA… the producers came out and admitted they made it 10 episodes on purpose, so it looked more appetizing from a distance

The show would have been better and stronger had it been 7 episodes

Amount of episodes never mattered to me. 9 episodes around what, an hour? Seems perfectly fine for The Last of Us.
