Some of what's on Legend (formerly Horror Channel UK) in September:
- Convoy (channel premiere) - The Driver (channel premiere) - the original Knight Rider TV series (channel premiere) - Iron Eagle II (channel premiere) - Iron Eagle III (channel premiere) - The Wall (UK TV premiere) - The Final Wish (channel premiere) - The Shed (channel premiere). Noticed in the new issue of TV & Satellite Week magazine that both The Time Tunnel and Knight Rider start repeat runs on Legend from next Monday evening (5th September) at 6 pm - 7 pm and 7 pm - 8 pm respectively. I don't know about The Time Tunnel, but Knight Rider's pilot was a feature-length episode, so based on the Legend listings info, they're showing it as a two-part pilot. |

Due to a news story, this week's edition of The Film Review will be first shown on the BBC News channel tomorrow night at 11.45 pm - midnight. Have checked Sky's Catch-up service and it wasn't in the BBC section earlier (occasionly, when the programme has been postponed because of a news story, they still make it available via Sky's Catch-up service, even when it hasn't yet aired on the BBC News channel).

More than likely, I won't post about this week's edition of The Film Review until early next week. I know the first airing (which is normally on the BBC News channel at 5.45 pm - 6 pm on a Friday) wasn't shown earlier, postponed until tonight because of a news story. The next airing would be late tomorrow night, if it wasn't shown tonight.
The other reason I won't be posting the usual weekly post yet, is because when I saw the updated Sky listings information yesterday, the first of the three films being reveiwed is Halloween Ends, which I'm trying to keep as unspoiled about as I can. I don't believe the first two films in the Blumhouse Halloween trilogy were on The Film Review four years ago and last year respectively (Kermode reviewed them on the Radio 5 film review show he did with Simon Mayo, but since then they've both moved to a different station (something to do with a podcast). |

The films on last week's edition of The Film Review (cinema, DVD, Blu-ray and streaming releases), presented by Jane Hill and Mark Kermode (in the BBC Television Centre studio), postponed from last Friday, first shown last Saturday night:
- Halloween Ends - All Quiet on the Western Front - Emily - Cinema and streaming: In the Court of the Crimson King. Didn't know this until I noticed last Friday that this coming Friday late afternoon/early evening, The Film Review has been replaced with a shorter version of The Travel Show. |

Knew that was the case when I saw it wasn't in the listings for this coming Friday, in addition to the listings information for last Friday's edition. I'd be interested to know the reason why it's finished.

I too would be interested to know why it is more important to have another repeat of the travel show than show the film review even once

Some of the films on Legend in December:
- Sniper: Special Ops (channel premiere) - Reasonable Doubt (channel premiere) - Lonesome Dove (full title is Lonesome Dove Church) (UK TV premiere) - The Man Called Noon (channel premiere) - The Internecine Project (channel premiere) - Shout at the Devil (channel premiere) - Beware My Brethren (aka The Fiend) (channel premiere) - Jack's Back (channel premiere). On the whole, a good selection of films new to Legend this month, closing the year out. One of the better monthly selections this year (including the last few months of Horror Channel UK). Last edited by OceanBlue; 12-01-2022 at 10:50 PM. Reason: Added extra info for film Lonesome Dove. |
