There are so many favorites, but 5 come to mind immediately.

Blade Runner ~ Vangelis

The Mission ~ Ennio Morricone

Antartica - Vangelis

King Kong (1976) ~ John Barry

1492 ~ Vangelis

Will Antartica be ever released on Blu-ray or even DVD?
I don't think it was ever on DVD.

Also for James Horner - Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan especialy the Epilogue/End Title track.

TV soundtrack for me would be Cowboy Bebop. There is a 3 disc set I have I love to listen to.

I hope you're joking, because the director's cut of the film completely chopped up every cue of Horner's score, and replaced some of it with Elfman's 'Planet Of The Apes', Poledouris' 'Starship Troopers' and others.

The original theatrical version (not on Blu-ray) has Horner's score very prominent in the sound mix, fully intact. His score itself was a replacement.

Horner is my all-time favorite composer, and I collect his music.

i didn't know that (and he's my favorite composer as well ). i knew gabriel yared was originally hired and then replaced by horner so that's all i had to go by. never saw troy theatrical so i didnt realize there was a difference in the score.

A HUGE difference.

Basically, if you love Horner's music for the film you will completely fall in love with the theatrical version. The scene where Achilles races up the stairs to the Temple Of Apollo, slaughtering Trojan soldiers left and right is THE musical highlight of the film, and was completely RUINED by the change for the director's cut.

John Barry's score to the film "indecent Proposal" is excellent too.

Not really a score, but it still amazes me that Batman Returns has Siouxsie's Face to Face in it.

Why should that be a surprise? It was co-written by Danny Elfman, the film's composer exclusively for that film.

Almost anything by John Williams, Danny Elfman and Ennio Morricone. The "score" for Maximum Overdrive was memorable, too (all AC/DC tracks).

Star Wars films, Indiana Jones films, Jurrasic Park, Harry Potter theme. Pretty much anything John Williams and Danny Elfman.
