Apologies if it as already been mentioned but the original TV Series of Lynda La Planete's Widows is coming to Blu Ray in a Brand New HD restoration from Network

The November issue of Sight and Sound has an ad for it.

I've never seen it so I think I'll blind buy and check it out before the Steve McQueen remake.

Nice, just noticed Columbus is going to be a Dual Format release rather than DVD-only. Glad Network had a change of heart with this film - I'm curious to see it and will likely pick it up much sooner if it's on Blu-ray!

Wow, I've been putting off buying the DVD for ages hoping they'd put it out on blu-ray. Looking forward to this, it's been ages since I last saw it.

Sadly, some music performances could not be agreed and have had to be cut from #TheKennyEverettVideoShow. Definitely included are: David Bowie, Bonnie Tyler, Darts, Suzie Quatro, The Police, The Boomtown Rats, Thin Lizzy, David Essex, The Moody Blues, Elkie Brooks and more.

Not something I would think Network want to advertise. Hopefully the list will be so small they don't think it necessary.
But with such a key release and knowing we all have knowledge about music issues I would have expected them to offer some information about how much is missing.

But for this one I'm going to try and be half a full glass rather than half empty.
This release is so eagerly awaited and anticipated I just hope the list given above is not anywhere near a comprehensive list of who is appearing

You've just made me a very happy man. I saw it at last year's LFF and it's excellent, was a bit gutted when I thought it was going to be DVD only.

How long do the orders from the Bonkers sale get delivered? Have they been successful for you guys to date since that sale finished a while ago? It will my 9th day waiting for the DVD's to arrive in the post. They both got shipped from Network on the 20th of October. I hope they are not delayed again this week.

Anyone who's been on the fence about buying the too scattershot for it's own good ITV 60 set might be interested that it's £9.96 postpaid (£8.96 with SIGNUP10 code) on Zoom.co.uk

Once again I have moved DVD discussions to the appropriate thread in the DVD section.

If you have any DVD comments please post them here

I don’t know why I would, I don’t have an issue with things being moved to the correct thread...

So moving discussion of a tv show to a Movie section works for you does it?

Yes I'm sure anyone looking for info on the latest Network tv dvd releases will all be skipping over to the DVD Movie section.....

Well you’re just being rude, to be honest.

Am I? Not intended to be. I incorrectly assumed you knew what you were talking about and I thought I was asking a relevant question and pointing out that your assumption the item was moved to the correct thread was wrong.

My point was about moving posts about a tv release to the Movie thread. Presumably you were not aware of that and misunderstood my post.

And again, rude. If you can’t see how that doesn’t come across as such then I don’t really know what to say. But hey, no skin off my nose.

There has been an avalanche of newly-registered trolls in the Blu-ray.com forums. What gives?

God knows. I noticed this guy had only been a member since this month so obviously registered the account to kick off. He might well believe his point to be correct (I don’t know that I agree) but it’s unnecessary to be so aggressive and rude straight off the bat when he could just politely ask a question. Whether it’s an existing member under a new identity or a totally new poster, who knows?
